Location is good being easy walk to centre and close to riverside park and walks. That said we were very unhappy with the two rooms we two couples had. They were small and sparcely furnished. In our view did not meet the description of Styles brand "ibis Styles is about creativity, good humor and fun. Each hotel is decorated around a theme"
Breakfast was ok nothing wrong but the one member of staff was trying to clear tables, replenish stocks, check folk out and answer the busy telephones. The car park is limted and we needed to park on the road (free overnight) and move car into car-park before breakfast when a space became available.

Good clean centrally situated hotel with good parking. Acceptable breakfast. The gingham wallpapered wall was a bit of a shock to my husband when he got up out of bed the following day!!! Only minus was the unavailability of drinks of any kind in the evening

Room tip: Take your own soft drinks/alcohol

We came to the hotel directly from the Ibis Styles Lyon, see previous review for details, and I had assumed as part of the Inis Styles chain the standard would be similar, but we all make mistakes!!

What a disappointment this one was. The public areas appear to have been refurbished a little bit and are clean enough. However, the rooms are tiny, there are no drawers of cupboards, there is a hanging rail but mine was supplied with only two hangars, and there are two shelves, one of which was too high for me to reach.

One of the bedside tables was missing, its previous presence shown by two holes in the wall. There was only one socket in the room so charging electrical gadgets proved tricky. The Linen was clean and the towels changed every day but the room had a few flying "things" which I never managed to fully eradicate.

The shower was small and the shower head loose. The toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall.

The continental breakfast was woefully inadequate by any standard and was not replenished so on busy days those who came after 9.00 am were lucky to get a sprinkling of budget cornflakes and some lukewarm milk.

The staff were mostly indifferent, apart from the young lady who was on reception on our arrival who gave us a bottle of water each as we had had a hot walk from the station. (August, 33 deg in the shade)

The hotel is a 5 - 10 minute walk from the centre of town and almost on the waterfront, but I still cannot recommend it at all.

Room tip: Budget hotel, but not recommended

I'm sure it will all be OK when the refurbishment is finished but at present it's a mess. Unfinished light fittings in breakfast room and the exterior and car park area looks squalid and run down. Probably the worst Ibis Styles I have stayed in.

This hotel provided us with a clean and simple family room. We had a good night sleep and an adequate breakfast, which was included in the price.

The owner was friendly and helpful, giving us advice on a walk around the town.

Apparently the hotel will soon be refurbished which I think is needed.

Can't complain though - it was reasonably priced and it was a nice walk into town through gorgeous parks along the river banks.
