“Avoid the tasting menu.”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

Can be very good indeed - but the tasting menu was poorly-executed, delayed endlessly, and we did not enjoy. On the next night we ordered simpler, and just two fish courses. Both were superb!

“Unexpected highlight”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

To be honest, that evening, we did not have the intention to have dinner in a starred restaurant, but every other decent one in the centre was closed.
Well, lucky us, after strolling the centre in vain, it was an unexpected gourmet evening that awaited us.
Thus, we arrived without any reservation, a little bewildered, and were still welcomed with friendlyness and respect.

During the week and on evenings, they serve a 3 course meal for 37€, which we took.
It was marvelous: 7 different little appetizers, 3 courses, and again 7 different sweets with the coffee. All mouthwatering, made and presented with utmost finesse!

A little in between about the bread, since I read a few comments on Tripadvisor: they served this algue flavoured one also. Wow, it was to die for, fluffy and tasty. Please Mr. Gagnaire, don't take it off your menue!

Professional, somewhat stiff service. You know Michelin demands: men in black outfit, ladies in black shirt, white blouse. But agreeing with Shania Twain, "that don't impress me much". After showing some interest and asking a few friendly questions, they usually loosen up. Such proved to be the case here too.

After service ended, chef came to greet us personally. I find this a very nice and courtious habit, which one does not encounter much anymore. Congratulations!

The evening ended as the culinary highlight of our voyage and it was a bargain for this category of establishment.
