From your welcome by the owner Patrick, the whole experience of dining here is one of joy. Patrick speaks very good English as well as his native French of course, and is only too keen for you to get the best from his restaurant experience. Whether you are dining in the shaded garden area or inside the main restaurant (2 floors), you will still enjoy the ambience of this restaurant.
After the most interesting of mis-en-bouches we started with the trio de foie gras. This is a favourite at this restaurant and consisted of 3 different ways of presenting this ingredient, one frozen with walnuts in it, one at room temperature as is often served, and one quickly fried or poele. This dish is a must and is presented as beautifully as it tastes. A glass of semi-sweet wine helps! Then onto the main course where one is spoilt for choice. Is is to be pigeon or perhaps fish or onglet (beef), the menu keeps changing and the choice is yours, but one thing is sure: You will be very pleased with the result! Then the cheese and deserts, what can you say? Delightful without being heavy. This restaurant has worked hard to get the best balance of ingredients, flair and innovation, and at the same time presents a superb dining experience for a limited outlay.
