“Hiking week in Stechelberg”

I was staying at the camping just a minute away from this restaurant during the week of the 12 of august. Really friendly and quick service (charging telehone is no problem). Nice terrace with threes. Located at the end of the valley, so as good as no traffic. Food is farmer-style plenty and left me just enouh time to reach the campings toilettes to avoid problems. Really big nature around for hiking, nice klettersteig in Gimmelwald. One important drawback of Stechelberg as a location is the continuous roaring of the Lutschine, the river with water from the glaciers around: overday is is part of the overwhelming nature, nighttime it's a pain in the ear. No info on the hotel.

We arrived at Hotel Stechelberg without a reservation in the peak tourist season, and we were grateful they were able to accommodate us with a nice room at the garden level. The dinner menu was quite good, and the breakfast buffet was tasty and filling. The only downside was that we had to use the shared bathrooms and showers. Overall, it was a good experience and we would recommend it to those who need to stay in the town before or after hiking up in the mountains.

Located across the street from the hotel and next to the camp ground this is the neighborhood restaurant for visitors and locals as well. It has a beer garden which was shady and lovely to enjoy a cold beer at the end of a day of hiking. The barley soup was exceptional.

Lovely and authentic restaurant at the last bus stop in the Lauterbrunnen valley. The best place to enjoy crisp Rösti. Try it with ham or eggs. Friendly atmosphere, locals also love this place. Reasonable prices. Nice hiking posibilities from Stechelberg before the meal, for instance pretty steep up to Oberberg

We reached this restaurant after a short hike from Lauterbrunnen. The hike is beautiful but the end of this valley (Lauterbrunnen) is the most rewarding bit. Right there stands this restaurant. The weather was perfect so we sat outside in the patio. Food is great, service very friendly. What else can you ask for ?
