“ate here for lunch and returned for cafe!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2012

We really enjoyed this place - the plat du jour - very tasty and plentiful servings - two of us had the courgettes crumb, one had the pasta au confit tomato - all had some salad... The Basque frommage glacé with cerises was super yummy - hit the spot! The caramel sel (salted caramel creme glacé) was excellent... The service was casual, which was fine - we were there to relax and enjoy "monitoring the culture."

“A very nice lunch restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2012

We ate there twice for lunch. On the square, it's the most crowded terrace. And that's for a reason. Especially the "plat du jour" was magnificant! Fair food, for fair prices! The negative site, there are a lot of tourists around you..

“Nice coffee, shame about the service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2012

We made a bee line to this restaurant whilst in Bergerac, as they sell a premium tea we were trying to get for a family member. We sat down for a coffee and were promptly told off for sitting in the wrong place by the female owner.

We witnessed another British couple do the same and be told off, which made them visually uncomfortable. Its a shame as I think its unintentional by the owner, just her style possibly.

The coffee was very good but it's a shame about the accompanying service.

“Absolutely scrummy deserts and fantastic tea and coffee”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2012

Lovely place to go, easy to find with orange overhang in one of the sqaures. Helpful staff and all deserts made in house. I had the fondant - it was the most amazing fondant I'd ever had! My husband has the walnut gateux and enjoyed but, but was more impressed with his coffee and said it was the best he'd had in France. Would definately go back and also recommend.

“Delicious on a sunny September day”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2012

We had a very nice lunch of good quality fresh products on the terrace of this "salon de thé" during a professional meeting in Bergerac in September (the socalled Summer University of Rural Tourism, i.e. Université dEté de Tourisme Rural). It is situated on beautiful little place in the old town of Bergerac which gives it, of course its appealing charm! But also the decoration of the terrace and the shop inside (see my photo) that goes with this restaurant (on sale: locally produced Dordogne chocolat) is very well done. The only thing that was somewhat annoying was that every now and then we could smell the air coming out the evacuation tube probably situated in the flowered little garden in the middle of the place.
