As hotels in Biarritz are quite pricy, we rented a 4-persons cabin, Confort Atoll, for a week. It worked out as a great choice. From the airport we got there quick by bus (change at Biarritz Gare). Beach on walking distance (700 m, Plage la Milady) and the bus to the center stopped on the corner. Supermarket halfway.
Our cabin was cosy with a little terrace attached. It was brand new, we were obviously one of the first tenants. Very well equipped with toaster, micro wave, coffee maker, stove and all kitchen essentials. Perfect for self catering. Separate toilet and shower. Two small bedrooms, beds were OK. You can rent linens for a small fee.
The cabins are positioned in the back of the campsite, behind the campground for tents and caravans. The campsite itself is not too big, luckily, but the facilities (bar, minimarket) are sufficient. Swimming pool is a bit small, especially when the campsite starts to fill up from the last weekend of June. From then the campground got packed, but the cabin area was still pleasant . The staff is very friendly and speaks good English.
We had a great time in Biarritz. Nice sandy beaches, big waves and relaxed atmosphere. Surf's up!More
