“Should be rated higher”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

We happened to be staying next to Tikia in Biarritz, which turned out to be very lucky. The staff were great and really friendly as long as you tired speaking a bit of French to start off the evening. We ordered the Confit of Duck and some sort of Chicken stew, both of which were absolutely great. PLEASE if you go to Biarritz give this place a try, it's casual but at the same time a very nice place to eat.

“Nice food, decent value”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

This restaurant was next door to our hotel, and we ended up going there twice. Both times we each had one of the set menus as they offered a variety of foods and represented good value. The staff were friendly and helpful, and could switch to English when our French ran out! The Basque foods were tasty (I can't vouch for their authenticity) while the steak was tasty, if a little fatty. The desserts were the standard selection - crepes, creme brulee - but tasty all the same. I've dropped them a mark because they allow a local firm of photographers to prey on the customers, so prepare to have a somewhat pushy person pressure you into having an impromtu photoshoot. There's no obligation to buy though, and we even resisted her exhortation to say 'Hello baby!'

“Top service and food”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

The menu has a large choice of regional dishes, covering a range of budgets. Food was very good. Staff, although very busy, gave excellent personal and friendly service. Customer relations here are exceptional
