A "local" restaurant in the Chartrons area near Place Paul Doumer and the Jardin Public - easy to get to and away from the usual tourist haunts.
Although the front is austere, inside is warm and unpretentious. There is a quiet ambience upstairs, and busy feel downstairs with a glass partition separating the kitchen from the tables.
The Le Soir menu for 28 euros is excellent value! We enjoyed a delicious 3 course meal with thoughtful and novel flavour combinations. Possibly the best risotto I have had (green risotto with John Dory and scallops).
I could have eaten here for lunch and dinner every day. Highly recommended!
