For people who stay in Paris or any inland city in europe, good and affordable seafood is not something that one can have everyday. Thus we jumped upon this restaurant upon reading several positive reviews from numerous sources!

As mentioned by other reviewers, it seems that restaurants in bordeaux display their menus on a large chalkboard - experienced this at several restaurants there. Particularly those considered to be more local and less touristy.

In my opinion, it would be of better value to simply try as much seafood entrees as you can! Give the main courses - We tried the Crab, Mussles a la plancha, squids and calamari, coupled with an awesome bottle of local white wine. It was an excellent meal, the crab was sweet, juicy and full of roe. Loved the subtle, natural tastes of fresh seafood - no need to squeeze too much lemon too!

Would recommend this to anyone wanting fresh seafood at affordable prices! This is a much better option that the Fernand restaurant along the main quai in my opinion! Lower prices at a authentic local joint!

We were recommended this restaurant by a local after specifically requesting something off the beaten tourist path. Well, it was certainly hard to get a reservation, which I always take to be a very good sign. So, we get in for our 10:30 reservation on a Saturday night and the place is packed, lively, and appearing to have a pretty local flavor. When we sat down, the waitress flipped around the jam-packed blackboard menu to reveal... a menu in English! So much for pretending not be tourists! Still, given the looong list of fish dishes, we needed it. Ordered two fish dishes, both of which were very well-prepared but were served with the same bland-ish potatoes and steamed veggies. If you appreciate really fresh fish and like things pretty standard, this is definitely a solid meal. However, I'm one for a little inventiveness and though definitely happy with the meal wasn't over the top impressed.

The fresh fish and seafood... The laid back and hip ambiance. Very reasonably priced. It's always a pleasure to go back.

Even though we got very good recommendations about this place, by the time we got there, last Friday, Nov. 2nd, it was crowded, not mentioning the fact that once you enter the restaurant you smell like food from head to toe. Service was the worst I've ever had in a restaurant, give the price of the food, service should be much better!! Not even the food was good, we had to remind the waiter 5 times of each order we made, plus he wouldn't even stop for a second to explain the menu to us.
Bordeaux is a city full of restaurants, so there is no reason to go to such place and be mistreated.
I complained with management, but they didn't seem to care, they just said it was a busy night when they had served 6 services. If they can't serve all that and maintain the quality of the service, they shouldn't serve as many.......
The crème brulée was impossible to eat, didn't taste like anything.
NOT WORTH AT ALL!!!!!

If the description right now recommends the place for dinner, we say - go try the lunch menu! It's amazing how a place can serve both meat and fish with such balanced taste and great atmosphere even when sitting outside. Take your time and enjoy the formule du midi. Seems they have three different entrees and three different plats du jour.
