Description: The restaurant arose in 2004 from the imagination of the star chef Denis Franc, which presides(officiates) at present in the detached house(flag) of boulevards in Bordeaux. Quaizaco at that time offers a cooking(kitchen) of gastronomic inspiration, in a place in the surprising volumes, with a relaxed service(department). The gastronomy was relaxed, it is exactly the wanted concept by Franck DESCAS who settled down in this place in January, 2013. Become the workshop(studio) of Franck in wink of eye to his(her) creator and to the first name of his(her) successor, the restaurant opened on quays(platforms) with a room in the warm colors and keeps(preserves) its attraction of internal street alternating between glass and stony volume ...

“Even better second time around”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2014

In my review of this restaurant in November last year I said that we would return to sample the dinner menu. This we did one December evening and it was even better.
The ambiance is superb; the dinner menu (particularly the tasting one) delightful and all in all, we had an excellent evening. This is a restaurant to return to time and again to ensure that you taste all the new dishes.

“Absolutely lovely”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 15, 2013

As we have eaten at Au Sarment, the sister restaurant in St Gervais, we decided to try this restaurant for lunch one day when visiting Bordeaux. Their formule menu for lunch time is not only very good to eat; it is excellent value at 12 euros for 2 courses or 15 euros for 2 courses. No wonder it was full with local office workers and business men! There are two choices for each course and each was imaginative and tasty. Other reviewers have commented on the ambience, decoration, service and wine list and I can only agree with their comments. (yes, we thought that the wine list was interestingly varied and we also enjoyed the Graves Tour Bicheau!). We are anticipating an early return to eat here in the evening.

“Great ambiance, good food and excellent service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2013 via mobile

A really lovely place for a romantic dinner in contemporary surroundings sympathetically designed against the backdrop of an impressive old building on the river. A short and simple menu that smacks of quality and dishes that deliver it. A real find that we stumbled across by accident and would readily reccomend.

“Classy bistro with charismatic owners on the Chartrons quayside”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 5, 2013

Miguel and Carmen (formerly La Guimbarde in the Place du Marché de Chartrons) have teamed up with Franck (a 2* Michelin chef) to create this beautiful new upmarket ‘Bistro Gastro’ with its honey-coloured walls, lovely stone arches and modern see-through kitchen at the back. The lighting and background 'Frank Sinatra' are both soft. Modern paintings decorate the walls giving the feel of an art gallery with food and drink.

I had the 3 course menu at 26 euro (there’s also a 38 euro menu surprise). My wife went à la carte with smoked salmon, veal with foie gras and a sinful chocolate dessert! For wine we chose a very nice Graves Tour Bicheau at 21 euro. The wine list is extensive and carefully selected with a good selection of French, Spanish and new world wines which is unusual in France!

Total for two: 99 euro for 3 courses with a good wine.

It was stylish in every detail and great to be able to go up and talk to Chef Franck afterwards. It’s one of those rare places where the chef plays a visible and charismatic part in the restaurant.
