Friends booked this hotel from the Easyjet website.Having viewed it on Tripadvisor later thought we were in for a grim time. No,this hotel was out of town but the excellent tram service form outside took us straight into the heart of Bordeaux in no time at all.The hotel itself was very clean and comfortable.Yes it did have coaches staying, yes they did eat all the breakfasts like locusts, choose your time carefully, they are all gone by 9.am,and by magic everything was freshly replenished. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.

The hotel is close to the airport. That is it.
The rooms are ok. Heating takes time to work.there is only one cork opener in the hotel! This is the wine country. Breakfast is good but take xenical before you eat.

Simple hotel, OK for 2stars, friendly service, OK food.
What you pay is what you get - the hotel is worth its price.
If there are other available hotels, I would not stay here. At the same time, I was not dissatisfied with anything here (except for relatively far location)

I had to stay in this hotel for 3 weeks due to professional reasons. I booked a hotel room with kitchenette but there was no fridge and the stoves do not work. On top of this, they wouldn't provide me qith cutlery or plates because, according to the nasty receptionist Alice, I should have booked my plates in advance (and she mentioned that would cost me extra 10 euros)... Although I booked a room with kitchenette... I found everything totally unreasonable.
Plus, the breakfast is supposed to be until 10am but usually they stop replacing food (it's a buffet) at 9ish.
The wifi connection usually never works and it's awfully slow.

In short, if you need to stay in Bordeaux, this is probably one of your worst options.

HOTEL ALTON Bordeaux
This hotel is rated as Three stars.
There were holes in the sheets.
There is no automatic corridor lighting. For old or handicapped visitors this is a dangerous place. No real coffee at breakfast only instant. Horrible bedding. Old blankets.
Terribly overpriced.
