“Great find”
Reviewed June 26, 2012

We spent one night here before going to visit family, but I must say I wish we'd had longer. Our flight was delayed and we didn't arrive at the hotel until almost 9pm, but this was no problem for the receptionist who greeted us with a smile despite having to stay late. The room was very stylish, overlooking the courtyard with a lovely comfortable bed, large screen tv and designer-style bathroom. My only criticism would be that the safe is too small for an iPad!
The location was fantastic for exploring the city, and I would whole-heartedly recommend this place to friends. We will definitely return here should we ever visit Bordeaux again

Room Tip: Overlooking the courtyard

Like all the reviews say, I had to agree it's a very friendly and chic hotel tucked away from the hustle and bustle in the heart of Bordeaux town. We were pleasantly surprised with the friendliness of their receptionist, she was very nice and helpful and she had excellent English.

Although we had to walk up the stairs to get to our room across a very nice wine bar (which is part of the hotel's property), we were told there are only 12 rooms in this property and 2 apartments), we had a very decent sized room with 46"HD TV, coffee/tea making was available, king sized bed very comfortable, free wifi and iPod dock. It was a great choice being located close to all the heritages... A fantastic way to explore the Bordeaux town on foot!

This is the perfect hotel to stay at while in Bordeaux! The staff is very friendly (speaks English well), super accommodating and incredibly helpful when it comes to recommendations for food, tours, etc. We probably stayed in the smallest room and it was still perfect for touring the city and surrounding wineries. It is walking distance to the main town center, shopping, dining and tram. My wife and I are were on our honeymoon when we stayed there and they treated us with complimentary champagne in our room (a very nice touch which they didn't have to do). The value for the price is excellent as well. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone, and would definitely stay there again.

Real cute place and in the middle of downtown Bordeaux. Cute little wine bar downstairs. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

Room Tip: No pool and we only ate petit dejune so can't comment on restaurant.

Small hotel, close to the old centre of Bordeaux. An old building but recently renovated with modern decor. Our standard room was compact but very well appointed. Breakfast served in the courtyard was excellent. Would definitely recommend! Was pleasantly surprised by Bordeaux too, great place to spend a weekend.

New hotel in quiet side street close to the main pedestrianised shopping streets and within easy walk of lots of bars and restaurants. It is a quirky and quite trendy place. Our room was on the 2nd floor, across the terrace from the main building. It had a large flat screen TV, an i-pod dock and a good bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was quite pricey at 14 euros each, with no hot options, but plenty of choice of breads, pastries, cereal, fruit, yoghurts etc.
I doubt we'd have found the hotel without sat nav! Parking was available at an underground municipal car park a short drive away with a reasonable deal available for those staying at the hotel. The staff at the car park were also very helpful. We would definitely stay here agin if we were going back to Bordeaux and I have recommended it to friends.

This was our first trip to Bordeaux, but not to France. We found the hotel to be perfectly located in the heart of Bordeaux. Any sites, shops, or restaurants you'd like to patronize are within a short walking distance. The rooms are spacious and light. Although I'd thought at first that having the shower and sinks open to the room would be inconvenient, the shower is large (mostly glass) and the toilet is discretely in it's own area with a door. Actually, this design plan made the room seem less closed in than most hotel rooms. The bed was large (king) and comfortable. As others have noted, there is not much storage for clothing (we stayed a week), but somehow it worked out alright. The plasma TV had English, French, German, and Japanese channels and an iPod dock was available. The inner garden area is perfect for morning coffee and after dinner conversation. However, perhaps one of the best things about this hotel is the staff who were uniformly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. You won't go wrong staying at the Le Boutique Hotel and we will definitely stay here the next time we're in Bordeaux.
