This hotel is located in the centre of Bordeaux at the side of the Quinconces Esplanade. You can reach walking all main places of downtown Bordeaux and be connected to the surroundings with all trams departing from the Quinconces Esplanade. The hotel has nice practical set up rooms that make your stay comfortable and allow quiet sleep based on a good isolation of the windows. A nice breakfast is offered every morning based on a buffet. The staff is ready to help you and a comfortable reception room allows you to wait or meet in a nice atmosphere. the only remark is that check out is strictly at 1100, this rule reminds me to the obligation to pay 4 nights in hotels in Bordeaux when you visit the Vinexpo.

This is a very pleasant hotel right in the middle of everything, but because it is in a side street it is very quiet. 2 steps to the trams and buses including the local airport bus which is cheaper and much more frequent than the bus on the airport website.

The main shopping street starts just around the corner and the main eat street area is about 2 blocks away. The team to the train station takes about 15 minutes including walking, waiting and tram time.

Friendly front desk staff almost like family run. 24 hr reception.

My room 312 was great. It's just off the stairs but I didn't get any noise and it's isolated from other rooms with no neighbours. So absolutely no noise. It looked out over a small courtyard. Double glazed window could be opened for fresh air and air con worked if needed.

My only complaints are bathroom didn't have a shower curtain so water got on the floor.

We stayed 2 nights at the Hotel Majestic in mid-September. The hotel is conveniently situated for sightseeing and also shopping. It's also only a minutes walk from the tram (which is great if you need to get to and from the Bordeaux Gare).

The rooms are a wee bit dark but I suspect that's just because of the musical decor. The bathroom was light and spacious, but unfortunately the hotel had an issue with the hot water one morning which meant no showers. The staff were very apologetic when this happened.

Great mid-priced hotel in a brilliant location.

The Hotel Majestic is a block from the river, the tram stop and the beginning of the old town, with the Ste. Catherine main street just at the theatre plaza area nearby. Restaurants, wine bars, the tourist bureau (for signing up for day trips to Medoc, St. Emilion, and walking tours) and all pedestrian oriented areas are part of this neighborhood. The hotel was clean, tastefully furnished, quiet, staffed with friendly people and the breakfast, although a little pricey, was just fine. We had a lovely stay in Bordeaux and would definitely stay at the Majestic again. It provided a lovely base for a surprisingly exciting classic French city.

Room Tip: The room faced the front, on the second floor; one could see the Quinconces plaza trees towards the...

We loved our stay in Bordeaux, a wonderful city for walking. The Majestic is very well situated for exploring the city, and quiet at night. My only quibble was the window curtain in our room. The hotel has a musical theme, decor-wise, and our window sported a curtain with a full sized silhouette of a musical conductor, baton raised. Waking up in a strange room with that guy looming over me was a bit of a shock, two nights in a row.

Really glad we chose this hotel. It was very close to everything. Walking distance from shopping, restaurants, tram stop and around the corner from the tourist office, where a lot of the tours leave from. The room and bathroom were spacious, although the best part was the staff. Incredibly helpful and even allowed us to check in early. They had someone at their desk day/night, which was nice if any questions arised. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to a friend

The Hotel Majestic is a perfect location for exploring Bordeaux. The old city is right on the door step of the hotel and restaurants and bars are easily found. Our room was spacious and clean with a nice bathroom, the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast is nothing special for 11 Euros but typical for France. My only complaint was, as mentioned elsewhere, that the walls are thin and you can hear everything from people talking in the halls or their rooms, to water gurgling down pipes.
