“Delicious Dinner!”
Reviewed June 6, 2013

Escargot appetizer was savory and satisfying--brothy tomato base with herbs and sausage. Lotte (monkfish) main course was a delicious syngery of flavors with polenta, tomatoes, white asparagus. "Le bouchon" steak was excellent. Very well executed food, amazing flavors, charming atmosphere, very enjoyable meal!

“Gorgeous food in charmingly intimate setting”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

We all loved this restaurant. Luckily we had booked as it was absolutely full by 9 pm - it's quite small & very popular. 3 of the party had the steak & said it was tender & gorgeous. I had a vegetarian dish & it was one of the best vegetarian meals I have had ANYWHERE which I didn't expect to be able to say about a restaurant in carnivorous France. The chef had gone to a lot of bother to create a gorgeous meal including many of my favourite foods plus some genius additions. Puddings great too. Menu is small & printed on picture frames with no mention of veggie food but I happened to mention it when I phoned to reserve but they were not at all phased - the chef's wife is vegetarian apparently - and the exquisite dish with all my favourite vegetables and some mini galettes plus polenta hit all the right buttons. You won't be disappointed.

“Loved it!”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at the restaurant. I had booked in advance online and we found the restaurant to be quite busy especially with local people. The small menu was written on the chalkboard in french. Our very friendly server happily translated the options for us. We both decided on the steak for the main course with polenta (Euro 12). It was a beautifully cooked steak with chorizo sauce. Together with the steak we had a nice glass of bordeaux red.
The dessert of several small choices and espresso was a great way to end the meal.
Our daughter also had steak (childrens portion) and was pleased with her choice.
Overall we were made to feel very welcome, enjoyed some very nicely cooked food and of course had a great glass of wine. Would certainly return if we are in the city again.

Its a small, open restaurant, with cozy decoration and more french people than tourists. For me this restaurant is typical french. We had a great evening with good food nice waiters . Small menu, but very delicious. Try the dessert, cheesecake with apple and the Chocolathérapie...mmhhh yummy

“Excellent little find”
Reviewed December 4, 2012

Small with short menu, sophisticated and delicious fresh food. Paradise for foodies.. I ate oysters (raw) with fried packets of pigs trotters... to give you and idea, and Ris d'Agneau for a main.. my daughter fillet steak and chips... so you don't have to be alternative! and a fabulous cheesecake for puds. Highly recommended!!
