“Great start to our holiday”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

Great centrally located hotel. Beautiful rooms, well appointed with very welcome air conditioning and large windows that opened on to a small balcony. nespesso coffee available at a really reasonable price. Beds so comfortable and the staff were extremely helpful and the whole hotel was scrupulously clean and well cared for. It isn't cheap but well worth the money. The building is amazing and the courtyard a great place to relax. We had no complaints and would definitely come again if in Bordeaux. The children particularly. Loved the quaint lift. I highly recommend as a stylish place from which to explore Bordeaux.

Room Tip: The Richard Wagner had a great balcony

Beautifully restored old townhouse right in the urban centre of Bordeaux. A mixture of the old restored scattered tastefully woth modern desgin elements? Only 5 rooms plus an apartment. A great location from which to explore Bordeaux by foot and on the great new tram system- no need for a car. Highly recommended as a place to stay! For French standards a great breakfast included

We stayed two nights at L'Hotel Particulier and were impressed with our spacious suite which was tastefully furnished and had a very comfortable bed and excellent towels in the bathroom.
The staff were particularly friendly, professional and nothing was a trouble.and their recommendation for local restaurants were spot on.
Breakfast was very good and you felt more like member of the family than a hotel guest, overall a very pleasant experience right in the heart of the old city of Bordeaux.

Great place, nice rooms, lovely staff, BUT: the front street doesn't allow cars circulation, so you'll have to park the car at the nearest parking place (375 long metres) carrying all the bags and when you finnally reach the hotel, you realize there are no elevators.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a few nights on our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. Our room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. We had the option to have breakfast in the dining room, which was lovely.. plenty of fresh breads and pastries, fruit, yogurt, and eggs cooked to your liking. The location is close to city center with many restaurants, cafes, and shops within walkinh distance. The train station was also easily accessible, which was important to us as we wanted to spend a day in Saint Emilion. Would highly recommend!

We stayed for one night on our way to a family wedding in St Emilion. The hotel is in the centre of Bordeaux, near the Cathedral. We had a fantastic room with Sitting Room area, the room was very tastefully created with the Ensuite area behind the bed wall which could be accessed from both sides. The bed was really comfy too. Lovely, fresh breakfast in our room next day. The owners were so very helpful and friendly especially as we needed help to house our car for the night, thank you both so much! We want to return to explore Bordeaux more and will definitely stay at the hotel again.

First the positives. Ideal location for sight seeing and comfy bed.Nice staff. Very quiet so good for sleeping if you did not have builders working 7.30 a.m.till 11 every night. Also the heating had been turned off so was very cold in room.only 11 degree outside. Wet towels from evening showers were still wet in the morning as heated towel rail was off too. After asking they put it on but went off the next day. We had to carry an electric radiator into the bathroom before having a shower.Room was very dark with bars at all the windows and if we opened the blinds to let light in everyone could look into room. from the courtyard .if arriving by car you cannot drive down the street to drop off case but have to park in nearby shopping centre and drag cases to hotel . this costs you 19 euro per day.
We did not have good experience here with noise form buliders and did not want to go back to hotel because it was cold and claustraphobic in room. Tv has 25 channels in french(many were english programmes but dubbed) only bbc world in English. Not very international!Glad to go home to our warm comfy house.

Room Tip: Do not go on ground floor and do not have kitchenette. Other rooms were better.
