We took the full day Saint-Emilion wine tour mid April. While this tour was great in terms of seeing the village of Saint-Emilion the wine aspect was a let down. During the 8 hour tour we only visited 2 chateau's tasting one wine at the first and 2 at the second. The quality of the wine was high however for a full day tour we expected more tastings. Lunch was a picnic at the Saint-Emilion Cordeliers Cloister which was lovely and accompanied by sparkling wine produced at the cloister. We thought the tour spent too long in Saint-Emilion, approx 1 hour looking at sites with the guide, 1 hour for lunch and then over an hour left to our own devices to explore the very small village. This time could have easily been used to visit another chateau. We felt the tour was quite expensive for what you get.

Excellent tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and personal. Small group (5 or 6 people). Visited 2 chateaux and the village, a little much for half-day. Would pick a full day tour in the future.

My wife, daughter and I signed up for an afternoon tour. We visited Lynch Bages and Lagrange. I bought 3 bottles of Lagrange white and 3 red. Both spectacular. I had never seen the white before and it was out awesome. Our guide was very helpful and knowledgeable, alternating between English and French. I mistakenly wrote Bordeaux 360's office number rather than the pick up location in my itinerary. The owner drove us to the pick up so that we would not miss the tour. One quote from the driver that resonates still was, "we French never spend more than 20 euros on a bottle of wine", and while I like and collect the classified growths we did find numerous great wines at LeClerc and Carrefour grocery stores. They feature quite good wines at very reasonable prices. Don't miss the tour.

We did the afternoon tour of St Emilion and 2 vineyards. It was fantastic! Our guide was amazing, friendly, funny and very informative. We were 2 english speakers from Ireland among French speakers but we all laughed along and we never felt left out and know we were given equal information. We felt that we learned more in those few hours, than we ever could have from guides or books. It was so personal and interesting. I would do it again tomorrow and have already recommended the tour to many friends. It was well structured, visiting two very different chateaux and given plenty of time to ask questions and enjoy the surroundings. Just one thing to note, make sure you have lunch before you set off as you won't have time to snack during the afternoon, especially when you are tasting fine wine!
