Description: Situated in the heart of the historical district of « Saint Pierre », the WINE BAR is a unique place in Bordeaux. In a warm bistro atmosphere, this authentic wine bar is an essential port of call for wine lovers, with its original selection of wines from all over the wold – a remarkable range of origins from the prestigious to the more modest, presented by Giancarlo. To enhance the selection of tastes and aromas, Emmanuel proposes a choice of italian cheeses and delicatessen, and regional products as foie gras, grattons de Bordeaux, Magret de canard

Perhaps we were weary of formal dining , but we really enjoyed sitting inside and outside, selecting superb wine by the glass and eating really fresh honest simple food, strong on flavour and light on price.
We found it really friendly and I was fascinated by the training the manager was giving to his new employee , a lesson in supportive teaching given with expertise and humour!
Husband was in heaven with the wine choices, and all were tip top.

We went with friends, with a reservation, and we seated on little ottomans around a tiny, short parsons table in the corner. It was cramped. The rest of the restaurant had big tall tables and chairs. Four wine glasses and three tasting menu times didnt fit, so the wine bottle, water carafe went on the floor. Hold out for a regular table if you're over 30! The food is good, but it's not a full dinner menu. Perfect for young people to nibble, taste the wine and visit.

It's away from the total tourist trap and set in a lovely romantic French location , a short walk from everything. We arrived without reservation and were treated as VIPs . Food and wine were fantastic. Best we've eaten in France yet.

We stopped by for a night of wine tasting and food and found Le Wine Bar just super.

Arriving nice and early gave us the chance to have a chat with the gents running things and they were very interesting, generous and hospitable. We were still there quite late and very nearly came back the next night but it was a bit too busy when we came past!

There are more than enough food options to go with the varied wine selection they have on offer. We came for the wine but in some ways it's the food that exceeded expectations. What impressed us most was the really fresh, outstanding Italian-sourced products that they talked through with us -- hams, cheeses. It's not really a three course, set dinner, more a continual process of nibbling. But we sure were satisfied and there's plenty to choose from.

If we were lucky enough to live in Bordeaux it's the sort of place we'd get to regularly, great for catching up with friends or a romantic glass of wine. I doubt you could go wrong on any occasion, really. A true example of what makes that part of Europe great and we wish them well!

My friends and I stopped here for drinks and appetizers. The owner (an Italian) and his brother in-law chef were so friendly. We had several delicious appetizers. I so wish we had found time to return for dinner. The meals being served around us looked amazing! Great prices.
