I didn't eat anything because it was too late but I spent a couple of hours playing with the wine-credit cart machines: you receive a card a choose between around 20 different and wonderful wines to taste. You pay at the end. It a good idea, very funny if you are in Bordeaux with friends. The staff is very professional and kind too.

Knowledgeable staff, great selection of wine and good value food. Our best night out in Bordeaux! One of the staff members had just come back from a wine show in London and landed at 4pm, he was there ready to start serving at 7! Now that is dedication.

Lots of wines to taste by the glass and you can choose three different measures for each wine.
The difference with this wine bar is the unique concept of putting an amount of euros on a card (like a credit card) and inserting it into a slot on the wine dispensers and choose the wine and measure you would like. There is someone on hand to give advice as well. Just keep trying different wines until the card runs out of money. Any credit on the card is reimbursed at the end.
Appart from this unique method of tasting "platter" type food is available and is of good quality and compliments the wines. Bottles of wines can be purchased to have with food if you know what you want or have tasted something special. It gets busy at the moment so book in advance.

This has been #1 on TA in the past but has since slipped because it is under the category of restaurants. Please understand that it is a wine bar, not a restaurant. If you eat lite, you can probably just eat here and be fine, if you like a bigger meal, eat here as a app or come after your meal to enjoy some wine.

As others have said, that owner is great, he hand picks the wines and they change often. I thought the value was pretty good, especially if you consider that you are in the heart of Bordeaux. You can choose between 3 sizes, tasting, half glass (2 oz.), and full glass (4oz). Be careful, it is easy to go through a lot of tastings! Also, some of the wines are very expensive. My friend wanted more than one glass and bought two 22E glasses, that is 44E for two glasses! At least it was a very good wine.

The thing I enjoyed the most about this place is that you can sample any type and price of wine and there are a lot of them.

I highly recommend reservations and if you eat light or just want something to nibble on while enjoying wine, try the smoked salmon and the meat and cheese tray.

The perfect introduction to wine tasting in Bordeaux. Unpretentious, helpful, well-organized. Definitely try the foie-gras. Definitely reserve a table. They have a great selections of wines at different price points and a relaxed atmosphere. I had four 1/2 glasses and the Dane had three, including one full glass, foie gras and a cheese platter for 37 Euros.
