“Cool, hip decor. Excellent value for the price.”

Although this hotel is not exactly in 'Bordeaux Centre' as its name suggests, it is close to the main Gare St Jean - down a calm street three mins walk away - and within very easy striking distance of the wonderful new public transport system with trams every six minutes. These whisk you downtown within 5 or 10 mins along the picturesque newly-renovated banks of the River Garonne. Hotel is modern, stylish, very clean, comfortable for the price - nicely-tiled and spacious-enough en suite with large decent shower, plenty of nice towels, comfortable beds, built-in desk and good lighting, attractive sleek grey with bright-green accents decor. Free internet access; just pick up the code from a pile at the front desk. Breakfasts a little pricey at 9 Euro for a reasonable buffet, although the mini croissants were spoiled by a sweet, sticky topping (for our money, coffee and a more-traditional croissant amid the faded grandeur of the Terminus opposite the Gare St Jean or a breakfast special from Paul on the outside of the Gare were better value). Front-desk staff are pleasant and helpful, and speak excellent English, should your French be fragile. The reception/bar/breakfast area is not huge, but is very stylish, almost hip, with a cool outside patio area at the back of the hotel where you can eat breakfast or have a drink. There is a secure underground carpark (9 Euro a night?), which is worth the price as parking in the neighbourhood is paying anyway and, although it seemed perfectly safe to us four girls (and we walked all over, even late at night), the area of the station is perhaps a little dodgy around the edges in the wee hours of the morning. We wouldn't necessarily recommend the restaurants opposite the station: although they are decent enough - with inexpensive prix-fixe menus - there are so many more better restaurants to try within a short, fun tramride away (for a treat, don't miss La Tupina - you could even walk there from the hotel, or take the tram). There is also a large Carrefour supermarket right behind the hotel - down a little side street - that turns out a surprisingly decent roast chicken should you just fancy a quiet night in. And don't forget to pick up a bottle of the excellent local Bordeaux while you're about it.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel overlook the courtyard and are quieter, but rooms at the front offer...

This was a great hotel to stay at. The staff were helpful. There is parking across the street most of the time. If not, then there is lots of parking around the block. If driving, look it up carefully on the map as it can be easy to miss when getting of the expressway.
The rooms were very clean and although the colour scheme was a little funky, it rooms were lovely. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were quiet. The bathrooms were spacious and very clean. Not the best water pressure but easily manageable. There was plenty of hot water and the rooms were well maintained overall.
There are places to eat just down the street and across from the main train station. However, the main part of Bordeaux is a little distance away.
I would definitely stay here again.

The staff were incredibly kind through out the night that we stayed in Campanile ,Bordeaux. The room was presented beautifly .It was very clean ,and tidy in everyplace in the room .When it came to going tosleep I found out that the bed was the best bed you could ever sleep on ,and in .

Breakfast
___________
The breakfast was not only French .You could choose from all sort of different food .The table and the chairs that we used were amazing ,aswell as that they were spotless .

I would love to come back there again for more nights ,but unfortunatly the price for 4 people (2 adults and 2 children ) was a bit to much for just 1 night .

This hotel is very close to Bordeaux train station which was one of my main reasons for choosing it, however I was pleasantly surprised.
In France usually the area near the station can be quite dodgy but it was fine. Only 2 minutes walk from the station, the tram stop and a tourist information office.
It was very modern, clean and tidy and was perfect for the one night I stayed there. Staff were extremely helpful, although English wasn't a strong point. When I arrived before my room was ready, I was offered coffee and a seat in the bar area.
The room was clean, with tea and coffee and air conditioning. The bed was comfortable with lovely fresh linen.
The breakfast (9 euros extra) was a buffet style but was extensive. Plenty of choice - cereals, breads, croissants, fruit, cheese, yogurt etc, and the chance to eat outside on the lovely little terrace at the back.
It's only been given a 2 star rating by the local tourist council but it was definitely better than some of the supposed 4 star B&Bs I've stayed in in the UK!

The location of this hotel is excellent. Very close to train station and tram stop. From airport it is ideal as jetbus travels from airport to train station. Hotel is very very clean. Room was small but functional. Staff were mostly helpful at reception, but tourist office outside train station much more helpful for advice on tourist attractions.Breakfast was 9 euro and good value. While street wasn't exactly pretty (in comparison to rest of Bordeaux) we had no problems and felt fairly safe. No restaurant in hotel but plenty of local restaurants and only 5 minute tram journey to city centre. If we return to Bordeaux we would definitely stay here again...the location beside train station allowed us to travel to St. Emilion and the beach in Arachon...would definitely recommend this hotel for price cleanliness and location:)

We chose this hotel based on others' reviews and we weren't dissapointed. Very new amd modern, spacious (for France!) and really helpful staff. 15 mins walk from the old town and a stone's throw from the station. Trams to the old town just down the road. Don't worry about other reviews that the street is 'dodgy' - it's not pretty but there's nothing wrong with it. We would definitely stay here again if we're back in Bordeaux.

This hotel was our last stay in Europe after 5 weeks and we were taking the fast train to the air port. It was located just a block away from the station and although the area was not the best the Hotel was great. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. The modern decor was a change from all the beautiful old hotels we had stayed in but it was clean and very comfortable. The bar and breakfast area were lovely and the breakfast was great. Would definitely stay again, good value to.
