This restaurant is in Rue St Remi, along with many others. It is pleasant, but not exceptional and, for us, was marked by the number of waiting staff who seemed to do nothing all night.
Initially, they tried to seat us in the window, but the table sloped alarmingly and the cover of the banquette was torn, so we relocated towards the back of the restaurant. Service was fine, but unremarkable.
For me, some of the dishes were the reason we’d come, I had Grenier Medocaine (cold folded pigs stomach with onion jam – very tasty and my partner ate crevettes and chorizo: good but not outstanding. I had canard parmentier (this dish seems to have become very popular lately. It’s pleasant enough, but I probably wouldn;t bother again. My partner’s Cassoulet was fine. Desserts were macaron chocolat (OK) and coupe vacherin (nice). We drank ½L of pleasant rose.
It was Sunday evening and, frankly, the restaurants we’d have preferred were closed. This was fine, but it isn’t special.
