B&B Cosy Corner Bordeaux
Ranked #15 of 95 Bordeaux B&B and Inns

This must be the best option for Bordeaux. We received two rooms - one bedroom and one private "living room", as well as a private bathroom. The rooms are beautifully decorated in nice bright colours. The hosts are very helpful (and can speak English which was very helpful for my husband who can't speak French at all!) ... they give you a map on arrival, as well as cookies and tea. They advised us to go to St Emilion for wine tasting which was absolutely divine! They have a kettle to boil water in and the breakfast was great with a lot of home made jams. If I happen to visit Bordeaux again I will definitely stay at Cosy Corner again and will recommend it to anyone!

Attention to detail in everything. Great breakfast in the morning.
Rooms are large and very comfortable. Includes Wi-Fi. The owners are lovely and speak very good english. They gave us push bikes to borrow, DVD's to watch and a great rundown of where to go and what to see in Bordeaux.

We started and ended our month-long cycling trip at Cosy Corner B&B in Bordeaux. Genevieve and Thierry were very welcoming and made our stay a pleasure. We stayed in the Mimosa room for five nights and the Tangerine room for two, and we liked both of them. They are both quite colourful, comfortable, quiet and impeccably clean, with well appointed bathrooms. Each room has a separate study adjacent to it, thereby increasing their effective size.

Plentiful continental breakfasts are served in a glassed-in dining area overlooking the garden. Homemade jams, fruit, yogurt, cereal and fresh croissants provide an excellent start to the day. Cosy Corner is well-located, about a kilometre from the train station and a 15 minute walk to the Place de la Victoire. Our hosts suggested a different restaurant for each night of our stay and we enjoyed all of them.

Genevieve is an accomplished craftswoman, and I was delighted to be able to purchase her lovely handmade-in-Bordeaux gifts to bring home for friends and family. Also the fact that Genevieve speaks fluent English makes it easy to communicate, a real plus when one is tired and jet-lagged. We would definitely stay at Cosy Corner again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bordeaux.

We spent two nights here recently in the tangerine room and it was wonderful. It was comfortable and homey, but at the same time offered complete privacy. It was well located, a very reasonable walk into the city. Genevieve and Thierry provided very helpful advice and were very welcoming. Breakfast was wonderful - loved the croissants and great coffee.

We stayed here for 2 nights with our 2 daughters aged and 7. We had the 2 rooms on the top floor so that our children could be near us and were extremely comfortable.
The hosts went out of their way to make us feel at home and to help us with our onward travels and added lots of little touches for the children (such as cushions on the dining chair so that our youngest could reach the table, night lights in the children's bedroom and lollipops on their pillows).
The garden was perfect to sit in and relax and for the children to explore and the breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and fresh produce.
We would definitely stay here again if in Bordeaux.

The name “Cosy Corner” justly befits this bed and breakfast. Geneviève and Thierry are very friendly and truly care for your comfort during your stay. Upon arrival, Geneviève receives you in her delightful garden and serves you refreshments. A former English teacher, she has mastery of the language and surprises you by her English language proficiency. Try this B&B for an authentic French experience; their place is a typical bordelaise house, tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. I slept on the top floor and had access to their library which is equipped with French classics such as Tintin and le petit Nicolas. More importantly, they have air conditioning, a rare find in that part of the world!

The best part of my sojourn was, no doubt, breakfast! Every morning Geneviève prepared a princely breakfast for me, despite the fact that I was the one and only guest. She especially spoiled me with her home-made jams. I recommend the milk jam! Yes, milk jam! What a delight!

It took me around 25 minutes to get from the station to the Cosy Corner, which is located in a rather quiet residential area of Bordeau. Then again, it is close enough to the city centre (another 20 to 25 minutes). A number of bakeries, supermarkets, and restaurants are located within close proximity of Cosy Corner. The bed and breakfast blends in with other houses in the neighbourhood, thus adding to its charm and creating more authenticity.

I stayed here last week for 5 nights and had a wonderful experience. The house in which it's located is very cutely decorated and has a nice backyard garden area where you can lounge, drink tea, read, etc. I was situated in the Tangerine room, which was very spacious, impeccably clean and even had a lounge room w/ a TV across the hall, which was exclusive to my use. The B&B owners have gone to great lengths to make their guests comfortable, with lots of extra amenities like a towel heater, slippers and a library of DVDs that you can chose from to watch movies. The breakfasts, while basic with cereal, fresh breads/pastries, yogurt and fruit were made amazing by Genevieve's homemade jams. There was a huge selection to choose from, from fig/rosemary to rhubarb/caramel to kiwi/mango. YUM! She even gave me a jam to take with me because I loved them so much. The owners are very proud of their city and region and were more than helpful in providing maps and other tourist info. I really can't rave about this B&B enough, especially given its very affordable rate (my room was 55 euro/night). The only downside was the location. While easily accessible to the train station by bus and about a 20 minute walk to the heart of the city, I found the area kind of sketchy at night as a young women walking alone.
