Another restaurant we found through Trip Advisor. Definitely would recommend this place. Claire is extremely kind and helpful with suggestions and Wil prepares large dishes that are tasty. Lunch menu is of excellent value, especially with the huge quantity served, so make sure to go with an empty stomach. It is a small restaurant and reservation is a must if you want a seat.

We ate here last week, having wandered around Bayonne looking for somewhere to eat. We had no wifi, so did not have the help of Trip Advisor; we are home now, and I am so pleased to find we chose the right place! We were really pleased with every aspect of the meal: the location was great, the service helpful and friendly and the food was fresh, local, delicious and reasonably priced. It is very small, so it could well be worth booking.

What can you say that hasn’t already been said about a restaurant that is consistently rated as no.1 in Bayonne?
You can say that it’s annoying that they are now so popular you need to reserve well in advance.
You can say that becoming friends with the owners is of no advantage in this situation because they will resolutely refuse to bump strangers in order to accommodate you when they’re full (damned professionalism!)
If you do get in, you can say that the quality and quantity of the cuisine and the wonderful service defy the incredibly reasonable prices.
You can additionally say that the servings are so generous that if you have a sweet tooth, you’d better start with the desserts, because you might not have space for them otherwise (or you can learn to say, “Do you have a doggy bag?”, but I don’t know what that is in French).
You can say that the new menu is beautifully translated into English (thank you, I did that!)
And finally, you can say, “Is that girl gazing forlornly through the window because she left it too late to book, the translator of this menu? Please tell her she can have a seat at our table!”

After following advice on Trip Advisor we booked a table for lunch. The welcome from Claire was very warm. Despite having quite a few tables to serve she is very attentive. The fresh food, is beautifully presented, flavoursome and the portions are generous. We shared a starter, had a main course each and we were too full for desserts which looked delicious. The decor was colourful and the atmosphere was relaxed. We paid 25€ per head which was good when you take into account the quality of the produce and quantity. There was a set menu at a cheaper price. We will definitely be going back.

We called here for lunch and got the last table.the resturant is small and the cooking is done almost in front of you in a compact kitchen. The lady who does front of house was very helpful and attentive and gave us much needed help with the French menu given our poor command of the language!Food was delicious and the puddings deserved a special mention especially the white chocolate panacotta.
Good selection of both food and drink served in a cosy friendly environment.
