This is a top restaurant, using only fresh market ingredients, with a lovely relaxed atmosphere, excellent service and imaginative cuisine. Prices for both food and wine are unbelievably moderate, and represent perhaps the best value of any restaurant I have visited recently. After initial confusion over the booking (on line booking is essential), the Maitre d' was very attentive and good humoured, and we had a wonderful meal. Highly recommended!

We had been to this restaurant 2 years ago and it was every bit as good as we had remembered it.Small menu but everything sounded delicious and our choices certainly were! It's a small and cosy restaurant run by a friendly husband and wife team.Highly recommended and you certainly need to book as it is very popular!

I was visiting for a weekend with my nephew and his wife while travelling on business. We had an exceptional experience at La Cuiller a Pot from beginning to end. When making a reservation, the Saturday night we wanted was not showing as available on their internet page, so I sent an e-mail and received a prompt confirmation. On arrival we were greeted with a smile and escorted to our table. The restaurant was full but it is not large so it was not noisy. One could easily carry on a conversation. The menu is written on a chalk board and is largely based on what is fresh and available. Selections varied between meats and fish and the host was able to translate all to english if necessary. She was also well versed on the wine list, which was not extensive but was certainly broad enough to please most tastes. Our foie gras poelle appetizer was to die for! As we reminisced about our weekend on the train when leaving it was unanimous that that was our favorite thing of the entire weekend. One of us also had the excargot appetizer which was also excellent. Two of had the tuna steak entree which was also excellent and was accompanied by spinach and polenta. For dessert we had the cafe TRES gourmand, which included a sampler of 6 desserts along with a coffee. It was more than enough for the 3 of us to share to have a nice sweet ending to the meal. Overall prices are reasonable and the food was excellent. The owners and staff were also very friendly and speak very good english if necessary (and tolerated my franglais very well). I would return to Strasbourg just to go back to this restaurant.

This family run restaurant is special not only for the great food but also the lovely couple that runs it. They not only fit us in on a fully booked night but were so kind and considerate to make sure we enjoyed our meal. The food was fabulous and the atmosphere perfect. Best restaurant on our trip to France which included Paris!!
