“Cheese all over”
Reviewed November 22, 2012

Well, let me start by saying that this is a restaurant for cheese lovers. The smellier, the better. A big no-no for those unfortunate lactose-intolerant friends of yours.

I would advise you to book a table in advance and visit this restaurant during late-autumn or winter. Do not wear your best suit or tie because then you will have to visit the dry cleaners for sure, as the smell tends to remind you of your visit to Strasbourg months later even.

Different types of fondues are available. Try them all! If you are part of a larger group go ahead and order different dishes and try as much as possible. A good wine should make the evening complete.

“My favorite restaurant”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

This restaurant is a must for anyone traveling to or near Strasbourg, France. The have a guy there, who I like to call "The Cheese Sommelier." I'm sure there's a proper term for that, but I like mine. Order a cheese fondue - there are several to choose from. Be sure to have him tell you all of what's in it. And if there are two or more in your party, someone else should order a cheese plate - 21 different kinds of cheese! Again, the cheese sommelier will tell you all about the different kinds of cheeses, and in which order to taste them. What an experience! If there are still more people in your party, someone really should order the raclette... really cool!

“THE best cheese place!”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

If you like french cheeses, you have to go to this place. You can taste all possible cheeses available in the restaurant. And if you wish to bring some of them at home, you have the shop in front of the restaurant...

“Amust for lovers of good food”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

We arrived in the evening without a reservation. A table was found for us, and we ordered the Raclette with herrings and smoled salmopn. The food was excellant and the service was warm and friendly. Expensive but worth the experience.

“Cheese lovers: come to this place!”
Reviewed October 3, 2012 via mobile

This is a very nice restaurant just down the alley from the carousel. My husband and I enjoyed a bottle of wine as well as one of the cheese plates and a fondue with potatoes and cured meat. The wait staff was wonderful, making the overall cheese tasting experience feel a bit like a dining museum. We had a great time!
This place is great for adults and older children who are adventurous eaters.
