The hotel is located in a quiet street of Strasbourg, very close to the old town. It's also close to the train station - we just walked to and from, about 15 minutes.
The hotel is also close to Le Halle shopping mall, which is an advantage for late dinner at Valpiano for example.
The rooms are modern, comfortable and have a great shower!. The only thing I didn't like too much is that the toilet is in a separate tiny space of the room apart from the shower and sink. I really don't see any advantage in that because washing hands after using the toilet is mandatory, and you can't do it if someone is taking a shower...
That said, all the rest is very nice about the hotel. The front desk staff is very nice and helpful. The breakfast is great, with lots of things from Alsace - pastries, cheeses, jellies, yogurts, eggs, breads and many more.
I booked the option of room that included a Strasbourg pass. Totally worth it!! We got a free boat ride, free entrance in the archeological museum, free entrance to the top of the cathedral, etc. Very good choice!
In my previous visit to Strasbourg, I stayed in Novotel and it was very disappointing. Hotel D is my choice in Strasbourg! Certainly I recommend it!More
