The park itself is very nice, there's a playground, a nice lake, public toilets etc., but the ZOO! We are still in shock about the conditions these animals are suffering under - there is a lot of birds, who have almost no room and the cages are very small and covered with nets, no more than 2 metres tall. There's a reproductive area for white storks, which is way too crowded and some of the animals were bleeding and 'biting' the fences.

Visited several times. Very nice park. Good that nothing is charged to see the animals. There are also a few vendors etc. Especially nice on a fine day.

L'Orangerie is a beautiful park by any standards. It has lovely gardens, a large lake, extensive walking paths with bridges, swans, boat rides in summer, small cafes, a bowling alley and a ZOO. It's a very small zoo, but it is free and fun. You know the famous storks they put on all the touristy items in Strasbourg? Well, they live here at L'Orangerie where they fly wildly overhead, fight for dominance, clack their beaks and eat piles of baby chicks. Awesome!

It is a beautiful park next to the European Parliament area. Very nice to take a relaxing stroll around.

This is a beautiful oasis of calm - if you don't mind joggers - and in summer months you'll find all of the chimney tops occupied by the great white storks that breed here. There is a Michelin-starred restaurant, and one that isn't - the Orangerie - that does excellent trade in inexpensive lunchtime menus.

There is a children's play area, and small aviary and, perhaps surprisingly, a tenpin bowling alley.
