We stayed here for one night. This place is VERY basic. very very small room, and bathroom is also very small. the shower doesn't have antyhing closing it, so the bathroom is very messy and wet after a shower.

BUT, we paid not a lot here, so didn't expect anything huge. but it is basic. and if this is only for sleeping it is okay. we enjoyed our visit in Strasbourg, lovely town!!

this hotel is a little walk from center of town. but we enjoyed it, because then you explore more. but it is little walk.

The staff was very nice.

We arrived early morning to drop our bags, the hotel would not let us register and returned after 6 pm to get into our room. All the "good" rooms were assigned, even though we were there very early, so we ended up with an attic room. Tall people in a room with sloping low ceilings was not good, so we asked to move. The second room had a double bed, not a queen; it was set up for one person, not two, so the room and bed were small; and the lock on the door did not lock, a safety hazard. The only room left was to move back to the attic and watch our heads. The attic rooms have been redone with nice fittings, high quality, comfy. There is a 6" step down from the shower to a smooth tile floor, nothing to hold on to and because there is no shower door or shower curtain, the floor and bathmat are soaked and slick, another hazard. This attic room had no regular windows, only skylights. There is only one stairway down 7 floors, no fire escape, no window; fire safety issues abound. Although the staff was kind throughout, the safety concerns here are considerable. If I had a room with a locking door and a regular window on the third floor or lower, I would not be so concerned. Very nice breakfast buffet in an extremely pleasant room. Easy ride on bus #10 from the train station to the hotel and then on to the cathedral area (and return) on same bus.

We only had one night in Strasbourg before returning to Paris at the end of our holiday, and we were very glad we had chosen to stay at the Royal Lutetia. We had a very nice room on the 6th floor with a small balcony. The room was spacious, had flat screen TV, separate toilet and bathroom with bath. It is only a few minutes walk to the city centre, and on leaving we got the bus to the TGV station -bus stop was just around the corner. Staff were very helpful with directions.

A charming hotel, especially for the price we paid! We booked one of the attic rooms - a little cheaper than the standard double - and were pleasantly surprised. It has recently been refurnished to a high standard. Our room was comfortable and quite spacious. There was also a free bottle of water to welcome us. The staff were friendly and welcoming. There is free wifi in reception and free street parking outside (although quite limited). The town centre is only 10 mins walk from the hotel. We absolutely loved Strasbourg and would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is not on Strassbourg's central island, but being only a 10 minutes north of the river puts it easily within walking distance of all the city has to offer. Our rooms were €100 per night, and we were very happy with what that bought us. The desk staff were very friendly, ringing around to make restuarant reservations for us without trouble. The free wifi was also excellent - in some hotels the bandwidth is very low but the signal in our room was very good. The mattress was also of better quality than some hotels.
Complaints include the presence of several signs advertising things for sale - a little crass to offer shower caps for €5, and the sign indicating there would be a €20 'cleaning fee' if we ate in our room was also unwelcome. We just ate our pastries anyway, but did hide the evidence carefully! Also, the TV had no English channels, not even CNN.
But, complaints aside, I would certainly recommend it to anyone visiting Strassbourg.

Me and my wife and kid (2) stayed in this hotel for just one night over the weekend. Very uncomplicated, clean, value-for-money, everything available, service with a smile. Great. Thanks! Location was easy to walk into the city, no sweat.

This hotel is quite close to the train station, we only had to take about a 7 minute bus ride from there on number 10 which was very easy to navigate! The hotel is close to the Notre Dame and other sites but far enough away from all of the tourism hullaballoo. It is a 10 minutes walk past very chic shops to Notre Dame but is in a nice quite family neighborhood. The room was very clean. It was on the smaller side, but most European hotel rooms are! The bathroom was much larger than anticipated and had been redone. The staff was incredibly helpful and provided us with maps and directions to everywhere we wanted to go! The price is incredibly low considering the quality of lodgings and the location! I am looking forward to returning to gorgeous Strasbourg and staying here! I hope it does not become too blown up!
