“Divine, simply perfect”

Stayed here during the Christmas Markets in December. This hotel was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. This would be my special weekend getaway of choice. (Unfortunately I live in the Southern hemisphere or I would be looking for excuses to go all the time)

The spa showers were divine. 15 minuites in them un-did approximately 3 years of stress.

Staff were friendly, helped find and book restaurants. You couldn't ask for more. One of the best hotel breakfast selections in France. Don't hesitate, just book.

My colleage in Strasbourg booked me a room here as he is friends with the owner. The hotel is more like a bed and breakfast with 22 rooms in the heart of Strasbourg. I was in room 22 on the top (4th) level. The room was a renovated attic with small windows and amazing views of the nearby cathedrals. If windows were opened, you could hear the church bells on the hour but room was quiet when windows were closed.
The bed and pillows were soft yet comfortable. The room and bathroom were clean with standard walk in shower (no door).
Breakfast was 22 euro but as with EVERY meal I eat in France, it was fabulous.
The front staff speak English and were incredibly helpful, arranging a cab for me in the morning to the airport and making a new key for me when I lost mine.
Easy walking distance to sights and shopping (note store open around 10am each day).
Cost is very reasonable, too, given the level of comfort and attention.
I didn't get to spend time in the spa but that gives me a reason to come back and stay longer next time!

Room Tip: The airport in Strasbourg is extremely small and I wasn't impressed with the service offered by...

Strasbourg is known for it's Christmas markets, so if your plan includes that, this is the best location!! We drove from Luxembourg which took a little over 2 hours. But don't put the address into your GPS as we tried. Enter Place de St. Thomas and call the hotel when you arrive. They happily come out to lower the pedestrian gate and direct you to the hotel. We (all 7 of us) piled out and handed over the car key. For 15 euro, they will park the car for in a secured area. Well worth it to avoid driving through crowded pedestrian areas!

All the employees were more than accommodating, cheerful, polite and made us feel so welcomed! As there was a large group we opted not to take the 22 euro breakfast, but found a croissant and coffee with walking distance. Right outside the hotel entrance is the large pedestrian area of Strasbourg. It is very walkable and the cathedral/old town/Petite France are all outside your door. The hotel was very charming with a real French flare. Lots of trompe l'oeil on the outside and in, statues, antiques, but still modern and clean. We checked in and 4 of us were sharing one room, while 3 were in the other. Our room for 4 was perfect! There was a large king (or 2 singles) bed. It was made up so we left it as it was. The duvet was fluffy and fresh, there was a long large pillow along the back of the headboard and then 2 individual pillows for my daughter and me. Authentic Alsace chairs served at night stands. There was a large armoire, LOTS of outlets which was great for our ipad, iphone and laptop charges. The hotel had free wifi which was perfect. The other half of the room had a large pull out couch. There were 3 windows that all opened or tilted in and a flat screen TV. But best of all for the moms and daughters were the dual bathrooms! One had a rainhead shower, single sink and over-the-top toilet. It had a heated seat, lots of sprays and wands... well you name it! It was pretty funny listening to all of us try to figure out all the buttons!! The other bathroom had another rain head walk-in shower with regular (sigh) toilet, double sinks and jetted bathtub. The bathrooms were very modern with gray tiles, chrome fixtures and granite. Towels were fluffy and large and each bathroom had a robe and slippers. The charming wooden timbered slanted celing was quaint and authentic, but didn't intrude on comfort. There was also a fridge and extra seating for our full group to meet! We were also told of the spa on the -1 level, but we just didn't have time!

There is a fully servicable elevator that held 7 people (some hotel elevators are MUCH smaller!) right across from the authentic well-worm stone circular staircase leading up to the 3 levels. We did stop into the bar at night and found a very kind and helpful bartender. There is also a video of how the remodeling was done. I will definitely stay here again on another trip. So glad we found this gem!! Another very fond memory of my travels! Many thanks!

This newly renovated hotel was the best find of our trip. Only open 2 mos., the owner Mr. Jung took 21/2 yrs. to turn this into a charming modernized hotel while still keeping the French flair one expects when in France. A personal note from Mr. and Mrs. Jung awaits you in your room and when they say "let us know what we can do to make you comfortable", they mean it! Upon arrival we found our rental car cancelled and wanting to take in the Rue de Vin, we started looking for a private driver. After no success, Mr Jung saw our disappointment and took the day off to be our guide! He is a gentleman, scholar and the most incredible baker. He prepares all the pastries and desserts served at the hotel, and sent me home with his linzer tart recipe, the best I've ever had! The suite was a two story (two singles upstairs)which accommodated the 4 of us perfectly. It is right in the center of town and walking distance to everything. You won't be disappointed!

What an amazing place ! We were unsure when we booked as there were not any reviews but when we arrived found out this was because the hotel had only been open a few weeks. From the minute we walked into the hotel to the time we left, the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. They helped us with things to do in Strasburg, restaurants to eat and the valet parking was a godsend when you've been driving all day and keen to abandon the car!

The Hotel itself is beautiful and in a fabulous central location. The bedrooms are large with lovely furniture and the bed very comfortable. A complimentary mini bar and the wonderful wet room were an added bonus, oh and not forgetting the turndown service and chocolates! :-) We had a relax on our second day in the lovely Spa, which was FOC for guests. The bar and lounge were also very relaxing.

We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and shall definitely be returning ourselves.

We have been touring France for 2 weeks and this hotel was by far the best on our trip. A big thank you to all the staff for making our stay so special.
