“Great location near railway station”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

Located just opposite the railway station and easy to find. Friendly staff will help you with all of your needs. Could not check in until 3.00 pm and stored bags in cloak room.was given a room opposite a room being renovated. They said it wouldn't be a problem because tradesmen only started work after 9.00am, WRONG, they started drilling at 7.45am. The room is opened by a clumsy key on a clunky key ring, door was awkward to open and suggest you check the key at reception when you go out. The room was generous in size, double bed very low to the floor, curtains didn't close and the blind didn't shut out all of the light and so woke up early. Big TV, small unstocked refrigerator which needed a key to open, large bathroom with good shower, bidet, not much in the way of toiletries , shower gel hard to use. Towels adequate. Room was air conditioned which struggled a bit in the hot weather we experienced. It worked better when we kept the bathroom door closed. Bed and pillows a bit spongy for our liking.only one lift in the hotel which could be a bit slow when busy. Breakfast was very basic and when we attended something's like scrambled eggs were empty. Couldn't get a decent cup of normal black tea. Only green tea available. Room faced the railway station and so was noisy at night until late. Lots of resteraunts close by and the old city is just a few minutes walk from the hotel. The railway station is just two minutes across the square.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room away from the renovations

We stayed only one night during our road trip and chose it for the central location and reasonable price.
We received a very warm welcome at reception by Sada and were given clear instructions to parking which is 7 Euros for 24 hrs, very close to hotel, in a parking house. The lovely old town is only 10 mins on foot, Reception gave map and directions which was very useful. Breakfast was fine and the room also - nothing special but clean and neat. The only shame was that wi-fi password was only valid for 8 hours after it was issued, so by next morning we could not use it.

I stayed for one night. The hotel is right opposite the main train station. Walking distance to city centre 10 to 15 minutes. Next to the hotel is a nice Brasserie (Le Dix) which I can recommend for lunch or supper.

Wifi and breakfast was in price included. The rooms (classic) aren't the biggest, but the sizes are rather common in France. Room was clean, so was the shower room. The staff, very friendly.

(4 July 2013) - The hotel is under construction/modernising in some areas. Which is no problem as work is done during daytime when hardly anyone is at the hotel anyway. At night it was quiet.
Though close to trainstation there was no noise during the night, even though the window was open.
Breakfast Buffet was sufficiant.

Strasbourg is full of hotels but not all of them are up to standard. This one is amongst the better ones, with comfortable rooms and beds, good service and very decent breakfast. The hotel is very conveniently situated just across the train station and staff are very helpful. It is currently undergoing some interior renovation which will hopefully improve it further.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a view to the station.

Literally a couple of minutes walk across plaza from station to hotel.
Well placed for tram services and access to centre of city.
Excellent and full breakfast
Bathroom extremely spacious
Some concern that apparently no fire sprinklers
Free wifi was a boon

Room Tip: Rooms w view towards Station are noisier but better outlook Two minutes walk from Railway Station

The location is great, across the road from the train station and 5-10 minutes walk from the city centre. The staff is very nice and rooms are a decent size. Rooms are a little tired though and the WiFi is not very good. It doesn't always work well and you can use only one device to connect, which is inconvenient. The standard rooms usually do not have air-conditioning, just a fan, so not too great in summer. On lower floors it can be noisy, since the street is pretty busy. Plus, in the morning, the cleaning staff makes quite a lot of noise. The cleaning lady even knocked on the door once and came in even though the do not disturb sign was displayed. Breakfast is fine, but nothing special. For this price, you could probably expect more.

This is a great value hotel. Excellent location, just across the road from Strasbourg's train station. The room and the private bathroom were both spacious and clean. Everything in the room was clean and tidy. Staff at the front desk were very friendly. She even recommended a very good typical local restaurant. The breakfast buffet was very good and tasty.

Room Tip: we had a room facing the side street and it was quiet.
