This restaurant, a sort of MUST in Strasbourg ( the owner Annie, already had another place before this one, I can not remember when she switched, but at least 21 years ago, that was an institution) is my favorite. The home made Foie gras is the best and with Vendange tardive (even per glass) is the excellent start of a few days Elzas. A nice menu, with favorite (local) golden oldies as well as innovation in the daily special. Also a venue to eat the "Riz de Veau", not found everywhere. Great wines in a bistro ambiance, but not the common bistro ; more towards the better ones. The crowd is very very diversified which also gives a nice ambiance. Service is attentive and the owner, she is nearly always there, really makes you feel welcome with a personal word. Looking forward to the next time again, in Strasbourg, however do; make a reservation ; there are not that many tables, (though in good weather also some outside) and always well booked.
