We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Strasbourg for (thankfully) only one night in August. We got a deal through Expedia and paid 40 Euros. There were some good things about the hotel, such as free parking and it's close proximity to the city centre (either by tram or walking). However, our room was very, very small; had not been properly cleaned (garbage on the floor, undesirable smells, and a dirty band-aid in the shower); and had no air conditioning. The heat made the room unbearable on a 30+ Celsius day.
Had the room been clean and the weather cooler, it might have been a better visit. Despite some positive reviews, we would recommend giving this place a miss.

The exterior photos don't look very good, but read on ... this is a great place to stay. The breakfasts are very good. Lots of choice sand to a high standard. The location is ideal for walking into Strasbourg (12 mins). And it's very good value for money. The hotel is clean, well maintained with helpful and friendly staff. Excellent plumbing! The toilet had a very powerful flush and the shower flow could be turned-up so high that shower head lifted from its cradle! The bedroom we had was quite compact but adequate for a four-night stay. The hotel had a bit of a "hostel" feel but most of the guests were mature (40 plus). A little bit of traffic noise with the window open, but it didn't disturb our sleep. WiFi was good. Car seemed reasonably secure in the car park. Breakfasts were exceptionally good, but the restaurant menu for evening meals isn't quite so appealing. It's not quaint, charming or luxurious; it's practical, functional and friendly. Overall, very good value for money.

Room tip: Windows can be opened in rooms above the ground floor.

We stayed here while en route to Switzerland. Due to a delay in the Eurotunnel we knew we'd arrive after 01.30am. We contacted the hotel through the booking website and were DELIGHTED that our key card was left out for us, with instructions for the parking as the desk was well closed by the time we arrived.
The room was spotless, the bed very comfortable and the shower beautifully powerful.
We didn't stay for breakfast but the gentleman checking us out was just so nice.
The wifi seemed a bit dodgy but the rest of our stay was exactly what we wanted and needed.

I was surprised that this is an actual "Comfort Hotel" of the chain common in the US.

The hotel looks ancient in style from the exterior, but the interior is fine. My room looked nice when I arrived with a blue color theme. The front desk man was also really friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close (5 min) from the tram and about a 20 minute walk from town. There are hotels much closer to town, but the price here is great!

I was prepared to give the hotel a great review and it is still good, but it has terrible soundproofing. People were being loud outside and you could definitely hear them and the road noise in the rooms on the 3rd floor. There was also another guest with a young, cranky baby who cried often and could be easily heard. You will want earplugs.

Other than that, I had a great stay here!

A very 'descent' and clever choice for your stay in wonderful Strasbourg! the stuff is kind and very helpful (they all speak good English too!), the rooms are (small but) clean and cozy, the location is great (with nice surroundings, tram station etc....), the facilities are good, the breakfast is rich and well prepared and the rates are probably the best in the city....! highly reccomended!
