This hotel is very well situated about a 10-minute walk from Strasbourg's central station. Strasbourg is a small enough city that you can very easily walk to all the sites from this hotel.
You most likely will not need to use public transportation while in Strasbourg but if you want to, the hotel is next to the tram lines.
The room is a good size with a spacious bathroom.
There is no in-room safe and no air conditioner and in the summer, that's just terrible. It doesn't help that the bed has a think comforter on.
There is, however, a small fan in the room but it doesn't help much in the summer.
The bathroom has one of those all-purpose body wash/shampoo/facial wash instead of specialized products. It also doesn't have an exhaust fan.
The breakfast includes coffee, deli meats and cheeses, fruits, yoghurt, breads (baguettes, pain au chocolat, croissant) and jams.
There's free WIFI but the connection drops every so often.
Overall, I think this hotel does the job but it could be better. I would stay here again between fall and spring but I'd think twice about staying here in the summer.
Spent 5 days in this place near to everything in Strasbourg downtown, 5 mins walking from rail station, 3 mins from Les Halles mall, and 5 mins from place Kléber.
I arrived late night, found the room clean with a welcome card on the bed, and a working fan to ventilate the room in this hot summer night, yes there was no AC unfortunately!
À part from that, the wifi signal was reaching my room in the upper floor with a flat TV screen and a clean bathroom.
The room size was a bit small but suitable for a single person.
The breakfast was copious with a lot of choices, and fresh baguettes and croissants.
The personnel was cheerful and helpful.
It was a pleasant stay.
Our room in this centrally located, typically Ibis Styles designed hotel, was bright and clean. The breakfast is simple but has all you need - even freshly squeezed orange juice. Unfortunately this hotel, because it's a building from +/-1900, has no aircondition, but only a portable fan. Keeping the windows open helps a bit but then it feels as if the buses and trams ride through your bed. A good choice for October - May, but not for summer.
Ibis styles Strasbourg was a great stay for one night to see the beautiful city of Strasbourg. The hotel was located right on the river and was in a peaceful but safe neighborhood with cafés, shops, and stores. It is also a close walk (~10 minutes) to the main train station and located by many trams to places all around the city.
No air conditioning (room got very hot at night, but our room had windows that can open to help cool down the room)
Wifi was not very stable
Water/Piping was old and the water had a musty smell
Keep in mind, the hotel is located in a very old building. That helped us understand why there wasn't A/C and why the pipes could be old and musty. But overall, the hotel was charming and old on the outside while nice and renovated on the inside.
Would stay again!!
