Of course it has to be visited to complete the overview on the region traditions and style. Absolutely not boring, it is arranged inside a tycal alsacian house and reproducing in each room and daily life moment. Not to be missed.

Unfortunately, this museum is not as exciting as the locals think. It was very hyped so we went to check it out. It's basically a lot of closets and costumes. The buildings are very beautiful and classical for Strasbourg. The woman in the reception picked up her PERSONAL cellphone, even though we were waiting to pay the entrance - which is NOT free for students, by the way (very unlike France). I think you might find it more interesting if you want to learn about the history and have time (and patience) for the audio guide, but if you're looking for at nice museum to just look around, this might not be the place for you. There are barely any descriptions of the pieces in the museum apart from the audio guide. All in all, a little bit disappointing.

Proper historical explanations, quality artifacts and with an extra dimension, the museum also shows how the museum was raised in the 1920s.

This is boring. A collection of old Alsacien junk, poorly presented and lacking information or detail about the objects. If you are an enthusiast of old wooden wardrobes and tacky period clothing stuck on manakins though, this is the place for you!

We really enjoyed our visit to this museum. It gives great detail about the structure of half-timbered homes, traditional Alsacien life, dress, furniture, and customs. It is much larger than we anticipated. The audio was very helpful, and made the experience complete.
Just a heads up, it is neither wheel chair or stroller friendly.
