We stayed here for 4 nights, having arranged to meet friends who were travelling from Switzerland. The hotel is really well located in the Petit France are of Strasbourg. The receptionist was extremely welcoming (despite my poor attempt at the french language!) and we had a smooth check-in. The standard room we were allocated was fine for our purposes: a huge bed, his and hers wardrobes, separate bathroom and toilet, complimentary tea, coffee and water. The only negative was the closeness to the next building but we were not there to look out of the window, rather to be out and about in this beautiful city The breakfast was of the standard expected - fresh juices, fruit, yoghurts, croissants, pastries, as well as a selection of hot foods and cheese and meats. The bar was welcoming and the staff running the bar were pleasant. There is a "happy culture" to the hotel!! If we were to return to Strasbourg again we would return to this hotel.

We stayed here for three nights on a brief trip to Strasbourg at the end of January 2019. The hotel is very well located within easy walk of the railway station (useful for us) in a delightful part of the city. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful and our room (a superior room) was a good size, really comfortable and well equipped. The hotel makes coffee, tea and snacks freely available all day and this was really welcome. Breakfast was excellent - a great choice of cereals, pastries, fruit, cheeses and cooked meats and cooked dishes. We would happily stay here again. The only downside was that it was exceptionally noisy outside, and our room faced onto the street. The noise, which appeared to come from the local drunks, went on virtually all night. The hotel staff are aware that there is a problem and clearly it is difficult if not impossible for them to have any control over this, but if we were to come again I would, at the very least, ask for a room that was likely to be quieter.

First thing you should know is we arrived a day early for our reservation. Ugh I really goofed. But not a problem for the front desk, they honored my reservation and were very pleasant about the mix up. Our room was clean and while it was not stocked with superfluous items, there was adequate soap, a shower cap and plenty of towels etc. It is steps from the major sights and the Christmas markets are all around the hotel. It is an easy walk from train station and because of the Christmas marts no private cars were allowed into the old town so taking the train was a good choice. We had breakfast at the hotel and it was really the bestie had on our trip. Well work the money. It was a self serve, although there was a young woman in the area to assist if needed and she kept the food replenished. The desk clerk gave us a really wonderful recommendation for a restaurant.

This hotel was the worst thing that happened to us. It totally didn't live up to our expectations, 3 star hotels are better than this 4 star hotel. 1) There were not the attributes of the 4-star hotel like slippers and other accessories in the room. 2) the number of shower gels or shower cap was corresponding to 1 person (1 shower gel, 1 shower cap) though the number of person stayed in this hotel - 2. 3) at 3d day they changed our towels - when we arrived at the room there were mising two big towels and 3 of 4 other small ones were DIRTY! 4) the electronic key was constantly disconnecting demagnetized, it was not convenient to go to room and each time to return to the reception to magnitize. 5) what dissapointed the most is the service: people at the reception (a girl and especially a man) were so unresponsive to our asks and had the air that it is totally our problem and the hotel has no intention to help us, that we bothered them so many times for nothing. totally dissapointing experience. the only positive thing is location of this hotel - conveniently in the city centre 6) not clean room with dust on the shelves 7) too small room for 2 people 8) there were no charging points near the bed, that is not convenivent at all when your return in the end of the day and want to chill in the bed with your phone

Room tip: too small room , not clean, no charging points near the bed
