Central location, parking available, historic building with "door step" access to the cathedral and full range of sights that Strasbourg has to offer. Staff were friendly and the hotel is a great base for a short break for sight seeing and shopping - especially when the sales are on! Being so central we chose to eat out for meals - the one evening we went to the bar it was empty - so we didn't stay for a night cap - you do need to ask if you want kettle/tray in your room but they are readily available.

Room Tip: Upgrade if you can - worth the extra space. Lift to all floors and good English is spoken. Many car...

I am a member of BW rewards so booked direct from BW hotel site and got amazing rate of $105 for double bed. The lobby, breakfast area and interior corridors are wood paneling and old world French themed. However, you open your faux room door to reveal the actual room door and step into crisp, clean contemporary IKEA style bedroom.

There was a work station along the back wall in front of windows so space for both hubby & I to be on laptops. Bathroom good size with glass surround and hand wand attachment plus heated towel rack. No extraneous toiletries though...just squeeze bottle of shampoo/body wash. No tiny bottles of lotion or conditioner.

Staff spoke english and super nice.

Wifi was iffy...would drop signal a lot.

The staff, the location, on-site parking makes this hotel these best when visiting Strasbourg France. Can't not say enough about this hotel and the outstanding staff. It is close to everything within old town Strasbourg. No more than a 10 min walk to anything. In fact staying here you don't need a car - if you have one you park it and don't use it again until the day you leave. This is a must when going to Starsbourg. Best Western you out did yourself with this one.......

Room Tip: You want on the backside of the hotel. Street side can be a bit noisy.

Central location in a nicely modernised old and interesting building this hotel promises a nice stay. With interesting and well decorated large individual rooms it delivers as well until you get to breakfast. Catering pack grisly bacon fried in chunks with sloppy eggs, tinned fruit and a lack lustre selection of bread and yoghurt was a real let down.

Book room only and find a better cheaper breakfast in Petite France or round the cathedral and you will be happy.

Stayed in this hotel overnight on our way from Vienna to Paris.
We checked in rather late but the staff was friendly and helpful. Booked a standard double room, which was small and had a strange construction over the bed that was covered with dust (yuck). Other than that the room/bathroom were pretty clean and modern. The windows were facing the street, and there was singing and shouting outside well after 12 pm. Also the garbage truck and passing cars could be heard in the morning, so don't expect to sleep in) The double-doors (one into the room, and the other one into the hall) were a definite bonus soundproof-wise . The hotel is situated in a 15th century building which adds to the charm (and the creaky floorboards). The hotel parking is quite small (about ten cars?), so be sure to book if you'll need a space. Also be prepared to park on a car elevator - fun, but the height is limited to 180cm (about 70 inches). The hotel's close to the city center, Strasbourg not being very big))

This Hotel has a great Location in the center of Strasbourg. We arrived very late and the night clerk gave us room 247. we had ordered a delux room with booking.com which included a "whirlpool bath" We weren't that interested in this bathtub but it came with the room. I took a shower, my wife went to sleep, as I was about the enter the bed a tremendous noise came from the bathroom. It sounded as if a 747 was landing in our bathroom. The decbile level was higher than any sandblasting machine. I ran into the bathroom and saw nothing but quickly discovered that this horrendous noice was coming from the vents of the ":whirlpool bath". When we called the desk, they said "Oh this was normal after anyone takes a shower and the noise would go away when the bath was dry"(the shower was in the bathtub). After an hour and a half of outrageous noise, it finally ended. The next day I got a new room at the hotel which was fine.
But it seems that the entire staff of the hotel knew about this problem, porters, cleaning people, receptionists...and the manager. They are all aware of this Whirlopool bath/ -sandblaster noise.
So why did they give us this room? How do they7 expect anyone to stay in a room with a defective(and definitely not normal) bathtub whirlpool. On the last day of our stay(we stayed 4 nights ), I talked to the manager since the sunday receptionist felt we should pay the full amolunt for that first night(approx 277 dollars). After a heated discussion, he FINALLY gave us a rediculous 20 percent discount for that first night. But of course we should not have had to pay for that night at all. So if after reading this yoi still decided on visiting this hotel....check every detail of your room especially the bathtub.

Room Tip: Don't stay, for whatever reason in room 247

We stayed here for one night on our way back to Rotterdam. We had booked a comfort room but on booking in we were upgraded and stayed in a massive modern room overlooking the street. Immaculate and contemporary with electric blinds and shutters and a beautifully appointed bathroom. Air-conditioning was efficient. The reception staff were charming, fluent in English and made us feel very welcome.

Step out of the hotel, turn right and within a 100 yards you will find the picturesque Petit France district. We ate in a Thai restaurant which was pricey but inline with most of the other restaurants in that area. If you turn left from the hotel it is a short stroll to the Cathedral.

When arriving at the hotel we were initially confronted by bollards in our way, to the left of the bollard is an orange post which has a button to link you to the receptionist who will lower the post to enable to proceed and enter the hotels garage. Parking was quite limited but we had pre-booked so think of doing that.

We didn't have breakfast but the room looked attractive. The interior of the hotel is magnificent and historic.

We will use this hotel in future visits to Strasbourg.

Room Tip: We overlooked the main street but the double glazing was good.
