Stayed at Best Western Hotel De L'Europe for 1 night to attend Andre Rieu concert at the Zenith center. Location is close to Petite France, altstadt, bahnhof, churches, shopping and restaurants. Lots to take in and the front desk staff speak fluent English. I found staff very helpful and patient with my many inquiries.
The room wasn't ready at check-in so we deposited the luggage behind the front desk and strolled the town. There is a replica of the cathedral in the lobby. We found the real thing and walked for several hours.
Hotel is tiny and old but found it clean, in great tourist location and convenient. They use plastic key cards and have two doors. Stairs are convenient instead of waiting for tiny elevator. Breakfast was in room just off the lobby - a nice free perk at best western.

Room Tip: No handicap room at this hotel. Hotel is in the fussganger zone but you can park for a few minutes a...

The Hotel de l'Europe is about a ten minute walk from the Strasbourg train station and is quite easy to find. The hotel is a combination of old/new construction, but the rooms are all modern. The hotel is located within a five minute walk to le petite France were the buildings date back several hundred years and have now been converted into bars, shops and great restaurants. Our room was large even for North American standards and came with a large modern bathroom. Breakfast was quite good with scrambled, eggs, bacon, cold meats and breads. The one nice thing was the breakfast room was large enough to accommodate a large number of guests at one time (no standing around waiting for someone to leave). Forgot to mention that the staff are very friendly and helpful.

All in all, a great hotel in one of the prettiest cities in Europe.

Fully endorse views expressed by wildfleur74 and Rob G. We stayed for four nights from 15 October 2012. Hotel's location is perfect for exploring older Strasbourg. A good selection of restaurants on hotels' doorstep. Staff unfailingly helpful and friendly. Rooms light and clean. Standard BW buffet breakfast.

Room Tip: There is light traffic so if noise bothers you request a room at the back of the hotel.

the hotel was central only a few steps away from the old part of town and the cathedral and river. Good shopping nearby too. the staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly and the rooms were very spacious and comfortable, the breakfast, a buffet style, was very good and plenty of it. There was a bit of noise from the street, but if you want a central hotel then that is what you should expect! We found an excellent restaurant just opposite the hotel too. Would not hesitate in recommending this hostelry.

The hotel is near everything Strasbourg has to offer. We stayed 5 days and our room (we upgraded to a suite) could not have been better. The staff was unfailingly helpful and friendly. Our wi-fi worked well and we were able to keep in touch with the office back in the US. The breakfast was all you could ask for and there were abundant restaurant choices within a short walk. Strasbourg is a gem of a city this hotel made it all the better.

You can't beat the location. steps away from La Petite France, The cathedral and place Kleber etc...Was noisy on the friday night ,due to location of our room at the corner of the hotel, nothing that earplugs did not take care of.
Excellent breakfast and VERY friendly and professional staff....helped us withall our questions...and needs.
Wifi did not work well in the room,,we were the furthest from the desk...but worked great in the public rooms and the dining room..we were able to do Facetime, Skype and Vonage easily.
we would recommend this hotel as a GREAT value and excellent location...

Located right on the edge of the old part of Strasbourg, this hotel offers real value for money, including a large, comfortable room, a very good, large breakfast (with terrific coffee) and a super-friendly staff. I had doubts about not being right in the center of old Strasbourg, but they were immediately put to rest when I realized that we were just a few blocks from the cathedral. Very pleasant stay, indeed.
