“A nice way to see Strasbourg”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2014

Worth the 12 euros for a tour of the rivers in Strasbourg. It's a nice way to get a sense of the city and see a lot in a short amount of time. The audio guide is informative, but not personal. I would have liked to ask a question, but it's not that type of a cruise. It was good value for the price.

“Did Not Enjoy”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2014

It was a beautiful day in Strasbourg and we decided to take a boat tour around Petite France, which included the covered bridges. First of all, be aware that the boats are enclosed, making photography difficult, if not impossible with the glare from the sun and also the metal supports inside the boat. I'd recommend walking if it's a nice day. There were audio guides in many languages, including one for children, which unfortunately applied to our tour. Side note: this is not an activity for a fussy toddler. We didn't pause very long in front of the covered bridge, but the audio guide was helpful in describing the significance. It was not expensive, only 12.50 E. If it is rainy or if you have people in your group who are incapable of walking distances, this is a good choice. I regret it.

“Great way to see Strasbourg”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2014

I always enjoying seeing a city from the water... it gives a perspective than walking the streets and the Batorama tour didn't disappoint.
We were a family of 7 ranging in ages from 7 to 70 and everybody really enjoyed the cruise around the canals and through Petite France. The commentary which was in many languages was good and there was also a special one just for children.
The children were especially fascinated by the lochs.
I think to do a cruise like this one when you are on holiday & trying to take in many sights its a nice way of doing it in a relaxed atmosphere.

“I was ready to get off the boat...”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2014

My husband and I went on this tour on Christmas day. We were very disappointed in the amount of information that was given during the tour. I mean, it's SUCH an old city and so much history but most of the tour was filled with music in between historical buildings of interest. We were ready to get off the boat! I would not recommend this tour.

“We expected more”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2013

It was a good trip, however we expected more for a trip lasting 1 hour and 10 minutes. It is good to take the boat throughout the day, because after 4:30pm during the winter you can see almost nothing. Most of the time is lost whenyou are waiting into the boat for the canal to be filled in with water so as to pass by to the other side. We enjoyed the trip, bit in the overall half of the trip time is lost waiting so it is a waste of money... 9.60 euros!!! The only positive characteristic is that you get the chance to go up to to the EU institutions' area and see the new buildings over there. A plus was that an autoguide was available in several languages.

Dear Anastasia,
It is true that during your trip on our boat, you navigate through 2 locks. Usually these two scenic spots are very much appreciated by our visitors. The first one is called “Lock of La Petite France”. It takes between 6 and 8 minutes to go through. It is followed by a bascule bridge. It is a very special part of the visit because the canal is so narrow that you feel that, holding out your arm, you can almost touch the houses with you hand. The second one called “Lock of the Slaughter” is the door to the part of Strasbourg built between 1870 and 1918 when Strasbourg was under German administration. It takes about 5 minutes to go through.
Many thanks for noticing our audioguides (12 languages for adults and 4 languages for children).
