For a one night Strasbourg stop over this is a perfect escape from the high prices of other hotels.

Located in a quiet area, this apartment/hotel is an easy tram trip directly into the beautiful centre of which I cannot wait to visit again. I loved every moment in Strasbourg.

However, at the height of the summer a room with no air-con is tough on the body and I had a difficult time sleeping here, despite a cold shower attempt at cooling me down. The kitchenette was handy for breakfast but I'd have liked a kettle for a hot drink. The show was small but powerful and the room was clean.

The brief conversations I had with the staff were polite and helpful.

Dear Sir,
Thank you so much for your kind comments about the residence.
We lend kettles and fans on request to all our guests.
Strasbourg is also a very nice place to enjoy during the "Marché de Noel", -Christmas Fair-, if you dare to face Alsacian's Winter.
Best Regards,

Found the hotel with not too much difficulty. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful and sold us tram tickets to get into the center. Parking was good and plentiful.

1st impression of the room was bad as it stank of smoke. Unfortunately although you are not meant to smoke in the hotel they allow guests to smoke out the window which defeats the purpose of the ban. The other rooms will be exactly the same. The room had a double bed and a separate room with twin beds for the kids, a little kitchen with a good fridge and freezer section.

It was quite clean apart from a few cobwebs and OK for 1 or 2 days stay as long as you didn’t want to spend much time in it. There is no air-con so it was warm at night. Made use of the free Wi-Fi in the lobby, good speed.

We didn’t have breakfast which seemed over priced at 8 euros each. Had coffee and croissants at motorway services for considerably less.

Make sure to visit Petit France in Strasbourg.

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your comment on Tripadvisor, following your stay in the residence CERISE Strasbourg.
It is forbidden to smoke in the residence. Unfortunately, some of our clients smoke by the window. We are sorry about that.
For the breakfast, you can find: drinks, cereals, marmelade, fruit juices, butter, ham, cheese, yohurts, compotes.

Monsieur,

The hotel was close to the centre of town using public transport, the reception and other staff were very pleasant, and the room was exactly what we needed.

Not somewhere for your honeymoon, but great value for money and didn't have any negative points

It is a hotel concept that bases on a fully equipped appartment (small studio) idea. You can cook, store things in a fridge, etc. A nice wc/bath room is there, as well. Very good, if you do not want to spend money on restaurants, or you enjoy an evening tea without the need to go out (especially, as there seem to be no food&drink amenities nearby).
The hotel staff occasionally needs some "pertinent encouragement" to follow their obligations (i.e. getting the promised iron for me after my several attempts to get this prescious litte item, when it had disappeared from the reception and nobody seemed too keen on tracing it down).
The proximity to the train station Kremmeri-Meinau (one tram stop) makes it easily accessible. So is it from other parts of the city, too (two tram lines passing nearby).
Unfortunately, the hotel itself is located in the middle of some industrial & office area, therefore, the nearest neighborhood lacks any charm.

Strasbourg is a tough place to find a room because it is an administrative center for the EU, and we stayed here because it was the only hotel available. As vacationing tourists, we had no interest in the kitchenette facilities, so we cannot comment on that aspect. We also cannot comment on the breakfast as we have found it is not only cheaper but more interesting to simply have coffee and croissant in a cafe or patisserie. (Moreover, we like to save our calories for dinner.)

It is located one block from the A Line Tram that goes directly to the city center in about 10 minutes. You will have some problems finding this location by car as the cross street off the Avenue de Colmar (Marechal Lefebvre) is not well marked.

Note that this cross street is at a large Citroeon dealership. We booked a "studio for
one or two people" and it was unclear from the description what we would be getting. Turned out the second single bed is a trundle bed that rolls out from under the other bed. The trundle bed then can be lifted and snapped in position side-by-side with the other bed. I didn't know that the first night, and I spent it sleeping close to the floor.

Parking is free in a secure lot. The room was small, but it had about the best shower on our trip. The people at the desk were friendly and helpful -- on the second morning the desk clerk said, "I saw you downtown yesterday."

This hotel is now called the "Hotel Cerise," and we agree with one other commenter who said the phone number didn't work. We also could not locate the address of 5 Rue Job on Google maps. As such, we were wondering what we would find when we arrived, but it turned out to be a "regular" hotel with a front desk, lobby, etc. Possibly these problems have to do with some change of ownership.

Stayed at this hotel on a business trip. I'm sorry to say this was my first impression of the city. First off, the hotel is located pretty far from the center; if a colleague of mine hadn't already stayed there and known the way, I don't think I would ever find the place.
My room was tiny and the window looked out on... the lobby of the hotel! The kitchenette was equipped only with a fridge and stove top, but there were no pans or plates, there wasn't even a single knife or fork. The hotel offers only breakfast, there are no supermarkets or restaurants around, the nearest place to get food is a McDonalds. The breakfast, which cost 7 or 9 euros was just coffee, baguette, cheese and jam.
Internet is available thru a cable.
If you find yourself with a need to get in touch with the hotel after you've stayed there - don't bother. The given phone number doesn't work and your e-mails will never be answered.

This hotel is almost brand new and thus is clean and well presented. The price for a studio suite was less than 50 Euro when I booked through Easy-to-Book and this was very good value seeing you could park for free at the front of the hotel and catch a tram about 150 metres away directly into the city in about 10 minutes. The tram comes every 6 minutes during the day and you can buy a return ticket at the tram stop machine. There is a supermarket within walking distance (Lidl - 15 minutes walk or Auchan if you want to take the car or tram). The room contained a kettle, two hot plates, microwave, fridge/freezer but only very very basic kitchen serving or cookin utensils - a frying pan, a pot with no lid, two cereal bowls, two tumblers, one mug, two minature cup/saiucers and two of each item of cutlery. Bring your own spatula, bottle opener, can opener, peeler, sharp knives, wine glasses, plates, microwave jug, teatowel etc. The room had a small dining room table and a desk. There is free internet if you have an ethernet cable (or borrow one from very helpful reception staff who will also give you written instructions on how to connect!). The bathroom was warm and well-lit with excellent water pressure and even a heated towel rail. For the price it was a real bonus to have a kitchenette but Trip Advisor reviews had tipped me off about the lack of accoutrement in the kitchen so I did have a couple of knives onboard. The hotel was quiet and in a dead end street so it very safe and limited traffic nearby. The car remained on the street for two days without any parking issues at all. If you want to lock the car in the secure parking area there is a 9 Euro charge. The linen was good and the furniture basic but functional. The hotel does a very good price for people who want to stay for longer periods ie a month which would be ideal if you were working in Strasbourg for a short term and wanted to self cater to some extent.
