“Good, comfortable hotel”
Reviewed June 1, 2013

Modern, refurbished room. Good sized bed and good pillows and bedding. Small modern bathroom with easy to manage shower. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast ok. Fresh fruit salad an excellent starter but we were disappointed with the croissants which I am sure we're not fresh from the bakery, frozen?
The hotel is in a good position for sightseeing. Not right in the centre which I think would be too busy and noisy but an easy walk for the sights.

We stayed in May and had a large car. We reserved a car bay and although some say the bays are tight - we found them to adequate and worth the cost. They also let us keep the car there till 1pm (checkout at 11).

The hotel is a short stroll to the old part of the city and the walk was not a problem 5-10 minutes.

Breakfast was very good and nice selection. The rooms were adequate and served its purpose - no views or anything but just comfortable. Staff were also friendly enough - although we did not put any demands on them.

On-site parking, great value, short stroll to Petite Venise, and we were pleasantly surprised by the room. We did get one of the new rooms with modern interior as we'd hoped and they are very nice and comfortable. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel (8,50 p.p) because next door is a great little bakery where you can get an amazing selection of breads, croissants and danish at a fraction of the price of the hotel breakfast. Generally I'd say it's worth more than the two stars it's been awarded, but you do miss things like tea/coffee and a safe in the room.

We've been touring eastern France for 3 weeks and so far, Hotel Turenne has been the best quality price rapport hotel of our journey. Easy location to the center of Colmar. Small room BUT everything you need including excellent storage - we could actually unpack our suitcases for the 5 night stay and there was room for everything. Impeccably clean and well maintained. Comfortable bed and good quality pillows. Quiet area of the city. Reliable, free and easy to use wifi in the rooms. Clean and modern bathrooms (small but very functional) Friendly and helpful staff. Very reasonably priced breakfast with a large assortment of fresh fruit, yogurts, sliced cheeses and meats including the local Munster cheese. Breads, croissants, cereals, etc, etc. Nice lobby area with good seating and a bar where, again, reasonably priced drinks are served until mid night.
My only comment that would have made the hotel totally perfect is that I would like them to switch to laundered duvet covers instead of old fashioned bedspread and blanket.
You cannot go wrong here. We paid 74 euros a night and this hotel stands out as a great value and very nice place to stay!!!

Only stopped here one night on the way to Chamonix and wish we could have stayed longer.

The hotel is very convenient, just outside the old town which is lovely. Reception very helpful and fluent english spoken. Nice little bar. Rooms small but very modern and good quality bathroom and shower. Breakfast was €8.50 per person and was very nice, perhaps a hot choice would make it perfect.

The hotel parking can be very tight depending on the space allocated but It is secure and costs €7 per day or there are 4 free spaces in front of the hotel if you are lucky. You can unload just outside. Hotel easy to find.

Would love to go back to Colmar again and would definitely stay here.

Excellent hotel, situated 5 minutes away from the pictoresque Petit Venice neighbourhood.
My room was clean and had a huge double bed and a big bathtub and all that for a price that I would consider low.
I ve been to France several times and I ve had my fair share of old, overpriced hotels but Hotel Turenne is definitely one of the best Hotels I ve ever been at. I will definitely choose it again when I return to the beautiful city of Colmar.

We decided to visit Europe over Christmas at the very last moment and had to scramble around to find accommodation. We always prefer to stay inside the old town centre, but simply could not find accommodation inside the old town in Colmar. This hotel however, is situated right outside the entrance to the old town and we thought ourselves very fortunate to have found available accommodation there.

Our hotel room was rather small and the bathroom is absolutely tiny. The decor is very basic, but everything is clean. Breakfast at 8.50 Euro per person was good value for money as was the parking at 7 Euro per night. In fact, even though we did not rave about the hotel, we had to agree that it was excellent value for money over-all. The staff was friendly and helpful and the free wifi worked perfectly.
