Picked for location, price and helpful staff. Ideal location for walking Colmar. Room was very nice and well appointed. We would definitely stay there again. Next to 'Little Venice' area and many retaurants. Very short walk to town center, cathedrals, shopping and the farmer's market. Colmar's museums are a good choice, but just walking leads to many fun surprises. Hotel has a breakfast, but recommend going into town to a local patisserier to experience local life.

Room Tip: Room 21 looks out on the street, and inward to the courtyard. Good cross breeze!

We found this hotel to be a real charmer. Everyone was very helpful, the breakfast was good and hearty, the entire historic building has been completely modernized. We love Old World charm, especially when there is a modern bathroom. This hotel delivered. It was also a few feet from the historic charms of Colmar. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone, it has it all, including a reasonable price tag.

Madame, Monsieur,

Thank you for joining us and for sharing your experience and recommendation.

We are very pleased to learn that you were able to enjoy the style of the hotel but also the services of our staff and the buffet breakfast with a selection of local products.

More over the perfect location of the hotel in the old town of Colmar is very appreciated.

We hope to have the pleasure of welcome you another time at Le Colombier.

Sincerely yours

I've got an upgrade from standard room to a huge room(27) with big doublebed, sofa and armchair, a desk, fridge and another room with two twin beds, which i didn't use.. The marble bathroom had two sinks and a nice shower in the bathtube. There are a lot of nice cosmetic articles, tea and coffee utensils and everything is spotless clean new and with good style. So in the case i will return to Colmar,i would like to stay in Le Columbier again! Thanks!

Room Tip: Nr 27 is huge and has space for 4 people? you have to carry your luggage on the second floor, there...

This hotel was a joy! We were given a lovely room, painted a serene wedgewood blue with white trim at the front of the hotel overlooking the main street, Rue Turenne. It was a large room, which had, besides the oh, so comfortable bed, two large chairs, a desk and side tables. The toilet was separate from the shower and both were done in gray marble. There were 2 windows, which opened, thankfully. If you do not open the windows for fresh air, you will be fine in a room like this, the windows kept out the street noise successfully.

But, if you're like me and want to have open windows at night, ask for a room at the back of the property. Being on Rue Turenne was noisy, I used my ear plugs all 3 nights. It was busier than it looked and the vehicles going over the cobblestones was incredibly loud. To me, it was worth it to have the fresh air, but when we go back, I will request a room on the backside.

This hotel was about an 8 minute walk to the charming old town, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend this hotel.

We are pleased our dog is welcome in most French hotels and this one is no exception. The building is old but modern inside. Our standard room 16 was smallish but comfortable. Good shower in the bathroom. In spite of calling itself a boutique hotel and rooms being individual, I felt it had a chain hotel feel to it. The toiletries in the bathroom seemed nothing special. The towels were small and on the 2nd morning I discovered my bath towel had a large hole in it.
Wifi was free, but you had to keep logging in every time you came to use it again. Only one device per room, so my wife and I couldn't use iPad and iPhone at the same time. For two nights we paid €260 and breakfast was not included. I think had it been the low season rate of €95 per night, this would have been fair value. The receptionist was helpful in finding local vets and suggesting parking, but on checking in, they could offer maps and the wifi instruction, which I had to phone down for later.
Overall a pleasant stay, but average in some areas

Madame, Monsieur,

We thank you for choosing us for your stay in Colmar. It is true that Le Colombier is a part of the Diana H-R group, but this is not a chain.

We are very sorry for the hole you find in the towel. Be sure, this is not the habit of our hotel.

With pleasure, we inform you that you can find the best prices on our own web site, there are also promotional rates at some dates.

It is natural for us to welcome the dogs without any extra charge.

For the wifi, you need one code per device. So in one room you can have so much device you need.

Of course, the reception personal try to make your visit nicer. If you need an explication for wifi, a map or a vet, you just have to ask.

We hope to have the pleasure of welcome you another time in one of our hotel.

Sincerely yours.

We stayed in a superior room and it was gigantic. It's almost like an apartment. There was a twin bed when you first enter in its own little nook. Then down a long hallway was a completely separate room with a huge bed, couch, etc. Very roomy and great location. Only complaints would be staff not so friendly/helpful and we wish they included breakfast like all of the other hotels we went to.

Dear Hotel Guest,

We are happy with your kind words here on Tripadvisor.

As you mentioned the rooms have a confortable size. We try to mix the old, we keep some parts (stairs, wood beams, ...) and contemporary decor, this gives the special character of our Hotel.

It would be a pleasure to welcome you back at Hotel Le Colombier.

Kind Regards

Stayed in one of the suites for 5 nights in July, and the hotel was a great choice. Situated on the edge of the city in the Petite Venise area - hardly The Grand Canal, but the river was very nice, with small punts and lots of wildlife to watch. We could just see one of the little streams from our rooms overlooking the back garden of the hotel.

Our rooms were across the little cobbled street from the hotel, I thought this may be a problem but the door entry systems were brilliant. The hotel's buildings are ancient, but the interior has been beautifully renovated and modernised with huge stylish rooms. Breakfast was very good with lots of local meats, cheeses and conserves. You can eat it en plein air in the hotel courtyard, which is nice.

This is an excellent hotel, good value and a perfect location in the city and also for exploring the surrounding areas.
