“Perfect for Stopover”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2014

Travelling from the UK to Northern Italy, we chose the above hotel to stay for the night based on previous reports and were not disappointed. It is in the middle of a commercial area on the outskirts of the very pretty town of Colmar. We are a family of four and I requested, upon booking, two double rooms (next to each other) with a lake view and that is exactly what we got. The rooms were extremely clean and tidy and the staff at the desk were very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. We enjoyed a very nice meal in the centre of Colmar, which was easy to find and park but didn't make use of the restaurant at the hotel for breakfast as we left too early. Would certainly recommend and use again.

This is kind of a strange place right in the middle of a new commercial area and the regional airport -- a bit odd for what you might expect to find in the Alsace region, but certainly convenient. The room was modern and clean, and although the windows opened out overlooking a highway, the AC and ventilation were good and very quiet. The whole thing seems like a cross between the cuteness of an Aloft and the boxiness of a Holiday Inn. Not really a problem, but a bit weird. Breakfast was an extra 8 euros each and that was the real downside of the whole stay -- in contrast to just about everywhere else, this was a meager continental breakfast with the worst croissants, mushy canned fruit cocktail, awful coffee, and everything in a little vendor type container. I would only recommend this place for a quick stopover and skip the breakfast

Well priced hotel in the suburb of Colmar. Originally decorated rooms with royalty type painting on the rooms walls, each seems different. Have to order breakfast the day before! A nice small bar to have a drink, otherwise a single restaurant nearby. Fine for business or if you are just going thru the area.

Don't let the funky giant mural offset you about this place. The decor continues in the rooms but it works with the bright colors. The staff was helpful and polite, the location is right outside Colmar and a good place to stay at if you plan to explore the Alsac region. Bartholdi's Statue of Liberty (about 1/3 of the size of the real thing that's in New York) is just a five minute walk down the road at the round about. You can jog from the Statue of Liberty toward the center of town in a hour at a good pace. The air conditioning and wi-fi in the room worked well. You can Skype with loved-ones or check email easily while staying cool. Breakfast is 10 Euros and it is your typical continental breakfast and convenient but there is a resturant near by called La Boucherie, it looked good but we didnt' eat there.

We stopped here on our way through the Alps, to Italy. Everything about this hotel was excellent - location, quality, cleanliness, comfort. This was one of the most comfortable nights we've spent in a hotel - the bed and pillows were excellent; I often find pillows vary a lot in comfort, but these were perfect (I have neck problems) & our room was nice & quiet. Aircon was well received, good sized modern room with nice bathroom. The staff were extremely friendly & helpful. Breakfast was good & we ate dinner the previous night in the restaurant next door. We felt our car was safe in the free, private parking. We would definitely recommend this hotel & if we're in the area again, will definitely stay for another night of comfort.

Room Tip: We asked for a quiet room, which was towards the back & overlooking a lake.

Stayed here for 1 night during our return trip from Italy. Hot summer day, 31° C outside. Fortunately our room had perfect airco!
But the whole package was a positive surprise! Very good beds, beautiful and modern walk-in shower, big TV screen on the wall, and breakfast (10€) was complete and tasty! Professional staff too.
Downsides:
- more than 5 km from Colmar centre
- noise from nearby highway filtered in somehow
- writing this positive review probably lowers my chances of finding a room here next time :-)

Overall very good, especially for the price. It's very clean and quiet, good size room, and everything is brand new. It's out of town so we decided to pay for breakfast over there, it was very good. The hotel is right off the highway and offers free parking. It also has a safe in the room, but ours didn't work. Wi-Fi didn't work too well in the room. The stuff was pretty helpful.
There's a chain restaurant next door, but we didn't try it. The reviews for the restaurant are mixed, some love and some hate it.
It's a very nice place to stay and drive around all the small towns and vineyards. You can even spend a day in Strasburg, it's about an hour drive.
I would recommend it to any friend.
