“Excellent stay, except for terrible wifi connection”
Reviewed September 14, 2013 via mobile

We stayed god 2 nights and were extremely impressed with this hotel regarding cleanliness, service & position fog touring Alsace wine route.

Their wifi connection must continually be refreshed / and this sole defect would really make us forego another stay at this hotel.

Had to return early from a trip in Italy and found this hotel on the net - always try and get somewhere not to far from motorway and this was ideal - from experience many of the French hotel chains are in a semi industrial zone.
After booking was worried that hotel did not have a restaurant - not to worry as one next door.

Very modern hotel will all mod cons - the too trendy shower was difficult to opperate with wet / soapy hands - trouble with getting old.

Supper breakfast, plenty of hot food and vast buffet

We stayed in August 2013 for 2 nights with a group of friends. The hotel is lovely, we liked everything including nicely designed rooms, super comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms with cool shower, tasty breakfast and friendly stuff. The only negative thing about this hotel is location - it's quite outside of Colmar city center. It takes about 10min and 15 EUR to get to city center by car.

We enjoyed our night here. It was everything the other reviews have said. Comfy room, good internet, nice appointments. The lobby and dining area are very nice. Staff was helpful. There is a supermarket not too far, and downtown is also not too far. A good place to stay while visiting Colmar.

We spent three nights at Roi Soleil Prestige in July. The hotel was lovely, very clean and comfortable and the aircon, in our room as well as public areas, was very welcome as it was very hot when we visited. The breakfasts were excellent with lots of choice. Our room was extremely comfortable, beautifully decorated with a lovely bathroom and superb shower.

The hotel was situated on a business park about a 10-15 minute drive into Colmar, depending on traffic, but little or no public transport available. There was only one restaurant (next to the hotel) if you didn't want to drive into Colmar to eat.

The only "grumble" we had was with one of the receptionists - we had problems with the internet one day and when we asked the receptionist on duty about it she said that there was nothing wrong with it and no-one else had experienced difficulties. On returning to the hotel in the evening, notices had been put up in reception and by the lifts apologising for the fact that the internet had been down all day and they wouldn't be able to get it up and running until the Monday!

That said, we would recommend this hotel and would certainly stay here again.

A short search of lodgings in Colmar led me to this new (3 yr. old) hotel at the northern edge of the lovely Alsatian town. This small chain does everything right - spacious and lovely rooms, spotless bathroom, tastefully decorated meeting and restaurant spaces, and an attentive staff able to smoothly converse in English and German. We were very impressed by the satin linens, the extra pillows, and a sparkling bathroom with roomy shower.
The free parking lot and La Boucherie restaurant on the premises are bonuses, as is their plentiful morning buffet. The hotel is across from the airport and near the looming Statue of Liberty traffic circle that leads into Colmar. If you come by car, then look no further. Colmar town center is another 5 mins. drive south, but lodging may be tight and more expensive than the Roi Soleil Prestige (the older hotel by the same name is close by). Highly recommended for all tour groups and individual travelers.

We stayed for 3 nights, yes it is away from the city and if you don't have a car it could be a bit inconvenient, the rooms are so different and a joy after the plain hotels around Europe. Plenty of storage for our bags, nice clean bathroom, breakfast is wonderful. To drive into town takes 10-15mins depending on traffic, concierge gave us a map with areas to park near town that are free. There is so much around Colmar to see than just the city, drive the surrounding areas, the small towns are so much nicer than Colmar. Europa Park is under an hour away is so amazing, beats Disneyland anyday. We on the last day found the car had broken down and the manager was kind enough to come out and help with our translations to the repair guy was only spoke French. The restaurant next door is ok for a meal. A must stay and a bargain compared to closer to town.

Room Tip: all good and quiet
