Second time here. Les Escarcots were tastefull. La lotte was a good choise and desserts were amazing. Tastefull wines: cremant, crand cru riesling and gewurtztraminer. Polite and unofficial service. Upstairs terrace is a good choice. Do the reservation in advance.

This is the second time my husband and I have visited this restaurant. The first time was winter and inside was delightfully cosy, and the food hearty and warming. It is on two levels, and this time we were outside on the terrace (upstairs) for lunch which was nice. It was a bit sterile without plants. However, I have a feeling that this will change as the weather gets warmer (empty flower planters makes me think this!) The restaurant offers daily three-course menus, and when we were there the price was €12.90 which was definitely very good value for money. We had the more expensive set menu which, at €37, was also very good. The food is well presented with creative flair and tastes delicious. Other dishes on the menu, including several Alsatian specialities, also sounded appetising. The service was helpful considering our French is not fluent!

A very nice family bistro. serving good bistro food in honest prices.
Best dish: wild boar. Disappointment: a dessert called “passion” turn out to be a regular salad fruit.
