Lovely location; lovely food; lovely wine; & lovely staff - but take your phrase-book! Try the local Sylvaner or Riesling; not what you might have expected from Alsace wines some years ago - well balanced with a fragrant palate and a long finish. Excellent value too!

Came in on a Saturday night w/out reservations and got two places. Glad we got there right at seven...the place filled p fast. The wait staff was very friendly and the food and wine were great. Traditional Alsatian, and well done.

Ate here twice in a week's stay in Colmar. The food is good and the portions generous so with their prices this is a great value. The wait staff made us feel welcome even with a group of 8 that included a few with no knowledge of French.
The menu had a good variety with many daily specials.

This restaurant is in such a pretty building next to the canal at the edge of Petite Venise. It has a very cosy atmosphere and we were warmly welcomed by the staff. The menu offers typical Alsace specialities including an excellent choucroute and delicious coq au riesling with perfect spaetzle (my favourite!) Everything was well-cooked, well-seasoned and nicely presented. There seemed to be a happy mix of tourists and locals and everyone was given the same high level of professional, friendly and efficient service. I would definitely recommend this place, but book in advance - it's tiny!
