Went to Don Giovanni for a meal with 3 friends before going to the theatre. Booked a table for 5.30 when we arrived the restaurant was very busy I would advise you to book. We had starters to share a main pasta meal dessert each and a bottle of wine. Food and service very good. waiter was very helpful when we asked about the different desserts. We had a 50% off food voucher so it was a excellent price. Would go again without a voucher.

We came from Leeds for a weekend away in Manchester and met up with friends .We have eaten at Don Giovannis a few time and again the the food was excellent all freshly cooked. One of the best Italians we know. Can't really recommend anything as everything we have had there has been very very good.
Would definately recommend this restraunt and book a table so you are not disappointed.

Very bland food. Used to be our favourite Italian in Manchester and this is our first visit since it changed hands.
Menu appears limited, garlic bread bland. Chicken in Parma ham with mozerella was like a Bernard Matthews turkey escalope. Bit cheeky you now have to order sides separate but most places are now doing this. Made a complaint and my meal was free but as this was for our wedding anniversary it was too little too late.

Won't be back I'm afraid.

The staff were pleasant but the food was below average and very expensive for the standard of the offering. A meal for four with wine cost nearly £140. All elements of the meal were poor, however, we would in particular like to draw attention to the cheese selection it cost £8.45 and consisted of three very, very thin slithers of cheese, four biscuits and celery that was not 'de-stringed'. I am afraid for us this was unacceptable and we would not recommend this restaurant. The owners of this restaurant need to try a lot harder as you are loosing repeat business and not being fair on your customers.

Booked on Sunday 4th of August at 5.00 p.m. with hubby, son, and my daughter and her hubby to celebrate my birthday.

Have been a few times and have got to say we all just love this restaurant. When we arived we were asked where we would like to sit, which was a nice gesture and we chose the booth in the window, which we think is the best spot in the restuarant.

The welcome, the waiters, the food and the atmosphere was brilliant and cheered us all up on a wet Sunday afternoon.

Whilst we were there I booked a pre-theatre table for ten of us who will be watching Wicked in November.

Give this restuatant a try - you won'e regret it.

Elaine :-)
