“Excellent staff and decor”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

Visited this restaurant for the first time to celebrate a birthday yesterday. The staff were fantastic, very attentive and helpful. I like the way they explained the cuts of meats before ordering. We had an array of different mains, two different types of steak cooked to perfection, the salted chicken, pork medallions and spaghetti in white crab meat. The decor was fantastic and very welcoming. I could only dine here as a treat as the food and drinks were very pricey.

“Amazing”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

After hearing lots of great recommendations about this restaurant we decided we really did need to try for ourselves. Gauchos did not disappoint, the steak was out of this world (one of the best I had ever had), staff were very helpful and polite and everything was reasonable priced. No doubt we will be returning and very soon. Well done Gaucho`s!!

“Great for young couples.”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

As a young couple (23-19) who enjoy eating out at a nice place, it's often my girlfriend and I find ourselves being met with a certain anonymity by staff, almost as if we're not as important as our older fellow patrons. However upon stepping through the door at Gaucho Grill it was obvious that this would not be the case here. The staff were accommodating and polite from the start, especially our waitress for the evening, Emma, making us both feel extremely welcome. From there the night only seemed to get better with both the service and the quality of food being outstanding.

From my own experience as a first time diner at Gaucho Grill I would recommend the 300g (that's big) fillet steak cooked medium to medium-rare. All steaks come with their own side of chips, however the sweet potato chips with chorizo as an extra side are not to be passed up on. I would also suggest trying out some of the cocktails on offer, and don't be afraid to ask for something not on the list. Their very capable staff put together a Bellini that will knock your socks off.

In summary the food was incredible, the service exceptional and we will definitely be eating there again soon!

“Great service and fab food.”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

We visited Gaucho's following a recommendation and enjoyed the whole experience. The restaurant itself is impressive as a converted church with high ceilings, sparkling crystal chandeliers, and cowhide and leather chair coverings, as well as the original church organ. The staff were simply wonderful, friendly, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. When I was undecided as to which wine to choose, the sommelier brought 3 or 4 to sample, explaining each in turn. He did not hurry us at all, or push us toward the most expensive wine. He also explained that we could purchase the wine to take home either directly from the restaurant or from Gaucho's on line. The wine, Torrontes, was so good, I will definitely order on line.
We were also shown different cuts of meat by another of the wonderful staff who explained the menu items, the best cuts of beef and the best way to have each cooked. We started with a selection of Empanadas which were delicious. We all had steaks for our main course. I settled for rib eye steak (Bife De Ancho) which was one of the best steaks I have ever had.
All the while the staff were so attentive and friendly yet not intrusive. The bill was a lot less than I thought it would be for the fine food and wine and the second to none service. I would recommend Gaucho's Manchester to everyone. I also hope to try out one of the London Gaucho's in September.
