This is a very good and popular restaurant, we went on a Tuesday night, booked the day before for 8pm and it was pretty busy with not many tables free. Decor is interesting with the cow hide look, but I liked it. The star of the show is the steaks. In a word, fabulous. There's no doubt that if you like steak, then this is one of the best places to get a quality steak in the UK. I had the 400g Rib Eye, and it was extremely tasty and cooked spot on. Probably one of the best steaks I've ever had...if not the best.
The service is also top notch with the all the staff taking a real interest in the food and wine and are happy to discuss your choices with you.
The only area that takes off a point is that it's a little pricey. I'm happy to pay top whack for quality food but this was just a bit too much at £145 for 2 courses plus wine. The steaks are worth the cost though - they're priced at £25 to £35 for most and this seems about right. The starters (£12.95 each for 4 king prawns) and sides just push the cost up though.
However, it was a great meal and overall I'd probably return just for the meat quality.
