“Great meal! Highly recommended.”
Reviewed July 2, 2014

We enjoyed our first visit to the Nameste Nepal so much that we had to come back. It was a little quieter than before but this was probably due to the good weather and time of year. As on the previous occasion, the guests in the restaurant seemed mostly to be regulars, which speaks for itself. The restaurant is relatively large and modern in style.with a pleasant ambience.

We had Lamb Shahi Pasanda and the Vegetarian Thali. The pasanda was delicious but the thali was oustanding. The thali consisted of four small vegetarian 'curry' dishes (one a dhal) with raita, rice, roti bread and a delicious spicy sauce. Each thali dish had a distinct flavour and was beautifully seasoned. What often lets this kind of food down is an excess of oil and too much salt, but not in the Namaste - the ingredients are perfectly blended.

We both thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to our next visit!

“Needs to up its Game”
Reviewed June 26, 2014

Been coming here monthly for ages, unfortunatley our last 3 visits leave a lot to be desired.
The service is getting poor, even when the restaurant appears not to be busy.
The last time we came everyone was waiting ages, the reason being the massive take away order that went out of the door in 10 bags!!
The balance between footfall custom and phone orders has definatly swung towards phone orders.
The food........................well the methi dishes used to be to die for, unfortunatly now they seem to be scrimping on the amount of sauce they are serving, and the present Mrs Geezer has commented more than once that the chicken tastes like its been pre-cooked and warmed, giving it a very dry texture.
We'll give The Gurkha Grill and Great Khatmandu a try i think.
