A hidden gem of a place on an unprepossessing back street which doesn't inspire confidence.
But ignore the surroundings and enter a tidy cafe style room with Bain Marie's of the most excellent "day to day" Indian/Moghul fare. Nothing is "Anglicised" here, there are no vindalloos, Madrases, Jalfezis and the like but just good honest spicey (yet not stupidly hot) curries and other dishes.
Cheap and very cheerful - for example rice and three different curries on one plate for around about £5!
They do naans, kebabs, etc. and takeaways too!
But don't tell everyone, we don't want to find we can't get in there because of the queuing crowds!
There is no bar, but soft drinks and lassi are available.
