“Chinese at its best”

You can keep all your 'all you can eat' buffets, set menus here are as cheap as them and the quality and quantity would be hard to beat, no wonder it is so popular

“Give it a miss”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

Unfortunately this restaurant does not live up to expectations. The food was pretty dire, we had the hot and sour soup, mixed appetisers, fillet steak Cantonese and chicken green peppers & black bean sauce. The best we can say is that the chicken was good, if a little too salty, and the prawn crackers were ok. All other dishes were not anywhere near good enough. We were a fairly large party, and the staff appeared disorganised serving starters with mains, rice on the table a good ten minutes before the food, etc.. We won't be returning. We can recommend the little yang sing on George st and the Tung Fong in Worley for good quality food and cheerful service.

“Very good food, staff need to be polite.”
Reviewed February 11, 2013 via mobile

Visited but just walking of the street during a business trip to Manchester. The staff quickly took our order and within minutes the food arrived. One female of staff was rather abrupt and rude. It was as if she was being forced to work. Towards the end of the meal the staff were hovering to order more drinks but didn't appear happy when he informed them we were not going to order any additional wine.

The food was very nice and I would recommend. Sadly the staff let the side down.

Dear Iain with 2 eyes,

Thanks for leaving your feedback. I'm sorry to hear that you felt our front of house team let the side down, we will pass on your thoughts to the general manager and make sure he follows up on it. Our team are trained and by in large endeavour to be attentive, however at times language/ communication barriers have led to misunderstandings.

Have a happy Easter and we hope you will come see us again soon.

Many thanks.

“Best Cantonese food in manchester”
Reviewed February 10, 2013 via mobile

The yang sing has still got it; its banquets are second to none. Work out if you want to spend £30-40 per head, go for the steamed dim sum rather than the deep fried dim sum, make sure you order the delicious scallops, order crispy duck rather than the minced chicken in lettuce leaves, and you will not be able to move at the end of the meal! Service is attentive but not obtrusive. Do consider eating here if you are visiting manchester.

“Nice food but staff rude and slow!”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

We visited here for a family birthday last year with high expectations as the Little Yang Sing is so good. Very wrong. I don't think I've ever come across such rude and unhelpful staff in a restaurant before. We felt like they were telling us off in front of other customers, and one woman who served us was rather intimidating and scary, it wasn't a pleasant experience.
Thankfully the food was nice although service was a bit slow. Thankfully I wasn't picking up the bill as it was nearly £200 for 5 of us which I think is ridiculous for a Chinese. Wouldn't return here however based on this experience - the one in the Trafford Centre is much better.

Dear ManchesterGirl90

Thanks for leaving your thoughts, and we absolutely appreciate all feedback.

I'm sad to hear that you felt that our front of house team was intimidating or scary. We will obviously pass on your comments and ensure that this is not the impression that is given and we only hope that it has not put you off coming to visit us again.

In terms of cost we work very hard to provide great food and a positive all round experience and endeavour to be head and shoulders above the rest. Were any diner to go to any other restaurant of a similar ilk and standard one would also expect to be paying a similar amount.

If you would like to leave us any more thoughts or if you're looking to come visit again please do not hesitate to get in touch, once again my deepest apologies that you felt our service was not up to scratch.

Many thanks.
